Hey there Moms. Can you recommend a Bug Repellent w/o Deet. We cannot use skin so soft (my kids are allergic). If there is a Bug Repellent w/ sunscreen even better (to save time)- I have three little one's to lather up. We have tried so many brands and they just don't work. Help! ...they have bites everywhere even on the face :(
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There's one that they sell at REI called Repel. It's made with lemon and eucalyptus.

Thing is, I wouldn't put ANY bug spray on the face or hands.

I saw today a commercial for a product that is a bug repellent in a disk that you can clip to your clothes -- I don't remember the manufacturer...

I have a friend who swears by Melaleuca products. The Renew lotion which is incredible for any skin condition (eczema, psoriasis, rosacia, age spots, etc.) can be used with the addition of a few Melaleuca oil drops. My friend lives on the coast of Florida where the mosquitos are rampant and she has the most beautiful skin...with no bug bites! It's safe on the face as well as everywhere else. I can get you in touch with her if you'd like.

I agree w/Sally. I use Melaleuca (for 5 years) Renew Lotion & Tough & Tender -- they are safe, non toxic products, smell great and work awesome at keeping the pest away. I do not let my son outside with out a quick spray or rub down. :) ~M.

I've never personally tried them but I have heard California Baby products are suppose to be good. They have bug spray alone and bug spray with sunscreen. I have always read though that you should use bug spray and sunscreen separately because you will be applying sunscreen more often than you will want to apply bug spray. You can see all their products at www.californiababy.com
