I had my kids do math every weekday through summer all through elementary and middle school. My question is, what grade level skills?

I have just goggled math worksheets. There are tons of sheets available for all age groups.

They must know their multiplication.
Also my daughter's Trig teacher said that the kids are coming into Trig and PreCAlc not haveing a complete understanding of fractions. In both VA and NC. So when she gets that far brush up on those.

Make or buy some flash cards - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division...
Basic skills are more important than anything else.
If they don't know their multiplication tables, everything is hard.
If they've already done fractions, make up some problems and have the kids solve them.

I am not sure your child's age. But I used to teach sixth grade math. If you are looking for "fun" math check out http://www.coolmath-games.com/ or the math arcade on funbrain.com. aplusmath.com is another good one.

Cyberchase is a math cartoon shown on PBS. There are some times the show can get in to higher level math skills.

Many board games are great for math skills. Dominoes, card games, monopoly, Blockus, Yahtzee, Battleship, Connect Four, to name a few.

Make math part of everyday. Counting, cooking - amke them halve a recipe or double it. For older children, figure out the cost after sales tax, Just make it part of life...not an extra task.

And I agree make sure they know their multiplication facts inside and out. I would avoid having them copy multiplication charts. Multiplication is really important. Kids need to have it memorized inside and out. But they also really need to understand what it means...4 x 4 is 16, but why (4+4+4+4). More kids need to understood that multiplication is merely a shortcut to addition.

If you are wanting just worksheets, they can be easily googled. But be careful not to overdo these and burn your child out before school starts.

I used to pull sheets from www.tlsbooks.com/mathworksheets.htm

You can also pull other subjects based on grade. They even include answer pages. Since my kids are older now though I buy books that they use during th esummer and anything that seemed harder, I pull a review page for them to refresh for the new school year. It seems though that the first month, or even first 2, are more review period in school than new learning--a shame since they could be doing more and my kids get bored.
