I need help deciding which one would be best to buy for my little one arriving in Jan. I like them both and found a great deal on the Britax so it will only be like a $50 difference between the two. If you have any experience with either one please let me know. Your feed back is greatly appreciated.

In a few words.... Britax is the best. Worth the extra $50. I have a 14 mon. and have used Britax travel system and now the convertible Boulevard. If you look at previous posts about carseats, particularly Britax questions you will read all the rave reviews. The only negative I found with britax infant seat is that it takes two hands to fold down the handle/carrier and it sometimes stuck. I have a 2007 model, before the chaperone, the stroller is completely different. The chaperone is different, better, but I do see one con. When you are threw using the infant seat on top of the stroller your baby will be forward facing. The older model allowed for rear (facing parent) or front facing. Some experts now recommend that you keep the baby facing you, mom. That is a personal choice. However, the older model takes much more time to fold, doesn't fold flat. The chaperone was a much better remodel/remake of the old.... I just wish they would have made the push bar/handle bar to go both ways.

Chicco Key Fit 30 is my vote. It is the highest rated rear facing car seat (in safety and usability) and it is sooooo easy to install and use. I was so upset when my LO grew out of it. It easily snaps into any of the Chicco strollers. I'm petite so we got the Trevvi stroller, as it is smaller and more compact to I could mannage. All my girlfriends that have had kids and didn't get the Chicco initally, all ended up exchanging theirs for it.

Although I am a huge fan of the Britax convertable seats, I chose the Chicco infant seat. It is of FANTASTIC quality, and the easiest base to install ever! I have worked with alot of bases and the ease of use is a huge plus, I have used it in several different cars and it's always an easy install. Initially I wanted the Britax but I heard that their seat was bigger. I went to babiesrus and they let me try and install the seat before buying(which I recommend). It didn't fit in my volvo station wagon!!! Needless to say, the Chicco fits great. Also- I don't know anything about the Britax stroller, but the Chicco Cortina has been great- drives well, good storage, nice shade coverage. Good luck and congrats on the new baby.

Whatever you choose- keep your baby rear facing in the vehicle for as long as possible!

We used the Chicco Keyfit 30 travel system and loved it. My husband is the uber-researcher and chose this one for safety, ease of use, and my request of cuteness:) Our son is now out of the rear facing carseat, but we still use the stroller. The stroller is very easy to use and you can open it with one-hand (once you become used to doing everything in your life with one hand - smile). The con on the stroller is that the cup holder isn't deep enough and if your drink is fairly full, it will splash out of the little mouth hole on the lid. We both have 4 door cars, not suv's so if you're in the same situation, I would check to see which one fits easiest in your trunk. The Chicco's handle folds down which is nice because it makes it a bit smaller and easier to fit in my trunk.

i have the Chicco and love it -- got the smaller chicco stroller that it fits with -- love that it's so convenient, like an umbrella stroller, rather than the big bulky one i used for my 1st that i didn't like. I do know that Britax is a great car seat, i have one of those for when my little one outgrows the chicco. can't go wrong either way!
