Hi Ladies,
Has anyone flown with the Britax Boulevard? I want to know if it fits in United's seats. We are flying to Australia next week and am probably taking the car seat on board for our 12 month old. I have never flown with a car seat before. When we flew years ago with our baby we had a bassinet seat, so we didn't have to worry about how she would sleep. We will not have a bassinet seat this time. Have any of you flown with this seat, and if so what airline was it?
Thanks for your advice!
K.

We flew with our britax once and decided never again after realizing that the carseat caused our childs's feet to kick up against the seat in front of her. It was easier to strap her into the regular seat than worry the whole flight that we were bothering the person in front of us.

We just got back from Hawaii with the Boulevard 70CS. flew American Airlines and didn't have a problem. Has to be forward facing, window seat only. We were able to recline it some to make it more comfortable for LO to sleep. Best wishes!

I have never done it, but if you find you want to put baby in your lap many airlines will take the seat as cargo for free.

I have not flown with the Boulevard, but I did fly from Chicago to Taiwan and Japan on United with a Britax Marathon. It fit just fine into the airplane seat. My almost two year old daughter was able to sleep for much of the flight in her car seat.

It was a big pain in the butt having to haul that car seat around at the airport, trying to board and disembark, and having it take up space in our tiny hotel room in Tokyo. I also bought one of those Travel Go-Go things to help wheel it around.

Good luck to you! I think your car seat will fit in the airplane seat. Hopefully, your daughter will be able to sleep on the LONG flight.

I flew with a 18 month old to Japan with the BRITAX Roundabout. I hated it. It's bulky and she slept maybe 2 hours on the flight. It also made the tray table unusable. I checked it for the return flight. And it is miserable transporting it through the airport and those long lines for customs.
