Breatheable Baby Bumper

My daughter is 4 months old and just starting to scoot around the crib and get her legs stuck in the slats, so I put a breatheable baby bumper in her crib. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these (good or bad) and if there is anything I need to know about them.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I don't worry if she gets her face right next to the bumper now, but she can still get her long legs above the bumper and through the crib slat. I suppose it probably stops her from doing it more often than not. I don't regret the purchase.

they slip down, so just adjust the daily. I got rid of my cushy bumpers when my son started to scoot. and his favorite place in the crib was to put his face up to the edges. I felt so much more relaxed the day i got the breathable ones. Good luck!

We loved ours. It worked great. I would still check on my daughter because sometimes she still managed to get limbs stuck.

I recommend the breathable bumpers instead of the decorative bumper that you only get to use for a few months, as you've just experienced.

We kept it in the crib until my daughter went into a big girl bed. It is currently still in the 18 month old's crib.

I had one in my son's crib around the same age. I loved it. It stayed in there until he was out of the crib. I plan to use it again when we have another baby.

I had a regular bumper with my first and a breathable one with my second who still has it in the crib at almost 2. I like the breathable one better and I was able to keep using it much longer. My second one is not a climber but the breathable bumper just slides down and crushes so she doesn't get any boost from climbing on it.

We put in breathable bumpers almost right away after seeing how useless the cushy ones are. We love them. They wash well, look great, easy to slide up and down for sheet changes, and crush down when our daughter tries to step on them to get out of her crib.

I have one for my youngest son, he is almost 16 months old (will be tomorrow) and I can't sing enough praise about this product. It is awesome, my son is a roller and a belly sleeper and has been since he could roll from back to belly and back. Funny story, I went in to check on him last night before I went to bed and he had his feet propped up on the side of the bed passed out cold on his back. So cute. We haven't had any problems with legs or arms getting caught or anything. Just make sure you get the pads tight enough and tighten them every few weeks.

I have them and worried about their legs or arms (I have 7 mth old twins) would get caught between the slats of the crib because they are both big kickers. My son kicks at them and they slide down. Sure enough, one night recently I woke up to him crying more than usual, went to check on him, and his leg was through the slats. I decided to weave the bumper through the slats and pull it really tight. So far, so good. They don't slide down as easy and it is harder for their limbs to slip through.

I never use dbumpers. If she bumps herself or gets stuck for a moment, she will move. And I dont't ever remember it happening with my kids. I thought the breathable ones were just one more expense that is short lived since you have to remove when they pull up in a few months (and can climb on). But if you have one, I haven't heard they are bad in any way (but nor have ai heard they are safer than regular ones).
