I am 36 weeks prego with baby number 3, and I feel like it's time to upgrade my electric pump. So who loves their pump? What would you recommend? I don't mind spending a lot of money if it's worth it. Thanks!
Medela Pump In Style. Great investment. This pump saved my milk, literally. Whatever you do, don't get an Evenflo. I used this pump while away from my son for a week and my supply was almost dried up in two days. I ended up driving to Target at 10 at night to run in and buy the Medela and noticed a huge difference with the first session. I used it for 9 months pumping at least twice a day at work and it was still working great at the end.
The only thing I'd change about my Medela Pump in Style would be the bag. I'd get the Metro bag instead of the backpack. Workhorse for me for a year and I could probably fire it back up right now. You can use less expensive bottles (esp. if baby prefers something that doesn't fit) for pumping. Hint: you may be able to get it covered by insurance as a medical device and/or you may be able to get it after baby is born if you add it to your registry and then leave it "unfulfilled" BRU gave me a 10% coupon that I used to get it after DD was born. I used the battery pack, but you could use the car adapter if you need to/have a long commute/might use it on the way home after a nice dinner.
Whatever you get, I agree not to go with Evenflo or Playtex. You might already know, but I suggest you get measured for the right sized horn things if your output is wonky. Any of the 3 mentioned should be able to swap out horns to get the best fit. Made a HUGE difference in my output.
Medela Pump in Style. I bought mine off of eBay (half price) used every single day several times a day (I exclusively pumped) and it worked like a charm. I just sold it for almost what I paid for it. I will buy another one when we have our next. Loved it.....Congrats btw

I had the Lansinoh Double Electric Pump when DD was a baby. It was mid-range in price & I really thought it worked well & was a good product.
I used the Avent hand pump.
I used the expensive Medela. Didn't work for me.
But then again, my daughter just would NOT take a bottle.
And though I had tons of milk, not much would pump out.
But Avent versus Medela, I got more out of my boobs using the Avent.
Consider renting a hospital grade pump from your hospital. A friend of mine did, and she said it was the best.decision.ever! She loved it. Cost wise it was slightly less than buying one, but it was way better, and then she of course returned it when she was done.
Medela Pump in Style (double pump), it got me through 2 babies (13 mo. of pumping ea) and then I gave it to my SIL (with new parts); she used it with her son and I guess will use again with the new baby. The best!!!
