Breastpump Holder Thingies for Hands-free Pumping - Worth It?

thinking about ordering one of those sportsbra/strap-on type bras that let you pump hands-free? are they useful? I'm just wondering if it would help at work, but seems like it might be a pain to have to pretty much undress and take off your existing bra, and then strap that thing on....

What can I do next?

I cut two holes in the center of the cup on an old padded bra and slipped the suction cups right through the holes. Held them in place just right while I pumped. Any little thing to make life a little easier with a new baby in the house is with it! Best of luck.

When I bothered, I used a Pumpin' Pal. Cheap, effective, portable.

I wore a nursing bra, put the cups down and hooked my hands-free strapless bra around overtop -- didn't have to undress really. Also, order a size LARGER than it tells you too or it will be too tight -- trust me! I felt squished in mine and couldn't barely get it zipped and I ordered the size of my measurements. It is very worth it if you have a private office and can continue to work or eat lunch or whatever while you are pumping .... if not, I am not sure it would be so useful.

I jut used a sports bra to hold them against my breasts while pumping - that worked too...

It's been a while since I pumped (a whole year!) but from what I can remember it worked great with whatever nursing bra I was wearing. I had the hands free kit that comes with 2 plastic cone shapped things and a bunch of rubber bands. I would slip the bottom of the breast sheild into my bra cup and then I would take a longer rubber band and place it through my bra strap and attach it to the top (the plastic cone has little hooks for the rubber band) and that would hold the top of the sheild in place. The other thing that worked great was my nursing bra that was kinda like a sports bra and had holes in the middle that would could pull open, I would slip the sheild in there and it held perfectly. I think for the price it was totally worth it.

One of the best things I had. Yes, the first time or two I used it it was a bit hard to get used to. But, you don't have to take off your bra, and soon it was my best friend. I even dozed off while pumping and didn't spill anything! If you are worried about sizing, the Simple Wishes is the most adjustable in it's fit.

I used one and LOVED it. It was like a corset, so I just zipped it over my clothes (with nursing bra) and was able to do... whatever.

Of course, I pumped a long time each time, and fairly often. But it saved my sanity.

You don't have to undress to put on the hands free bustiers. You lift or unbutton your shirt as usual, open the nursing opening on your bra and put the band over your bra.
Let's face it: it's a pain to have to pump. These make pumping less of a pain.

NOT WORTH IT! Mine has been sitting in my closet. I too thought it would be a great idea and help me at work turns out not so much! What I did find much more useful was a tank top I got a our sweet beginings in downtown littleton. It's called the under cover mama http://www.oursweetbeginnings.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?pr.... I had 2 in white and 2 in black. They hook onto your bra strap so you can just pull down one side to pump and stick a cape or blanket over you. They were TOTALLY worth the $20.00 and don't tell but I still wear them under sweaters even after breastfeeding is done. The bra yeah well it still sits and stares me as do a lot of things I thought I must have. What size are you perhaps you could get some use out of it :)
