Looking for a referral to a good Cosmetic surgeon for a breast reduction in the Lewisville/Grapevine area. Also, how bad is the procedure and the post-op? Were you able to take care of your kids the next day? How painful is it?

My mother-in-law had Dr. Patrick Hodges (Dallas) reconstruct her after she had a double masectomy. He is supposed to be one of the best in the US. I also had a friend who had her chin done by him and was very pleased.

Good luck! I would like to do the same as you one of these days. I have had a friend who has had breast reduction surgery (in Wisconsin). She said it was pretty painful, but she's happy with the end result.

M.,

Check out Dr. Steve Byrd, one of the VERY BEST!!! He's a great surgeon, and his nurse is amazing as well. The office manager and other staff are just as wonderful. Check out his website: http://www.drstevebyrd.com/ He's in downtown Dallas area, at Baylor, but definitely worth the drive.

Dear M.,

My daughter has had that procedure done. And she is alright. I will contact her for her doctor. And they look pretty good if a mother can say that. Do what makes you feel good as a person. You only get one chance at life. But, take care of the essential thing regarding your health first. That is all you get, it is hard enough to keep your bodies healthy. Be careful girl, and pray about it.

I will know and let you know tomorrow. So, please stay tune M..

My advice is to get several opinion medically.
This is a large step in changing something God created. But, I am 56 and if they ask me and my health was alright, I would do it. I have small breast and I always desire to be larger. I sometimes compared myself in a crowd. But, then I never had in any complaint in that department.
All I know is the individual mind is better they the looks or stairs one might desire.
Oh, yeah I was somewhat dissappointed with my daughter as her mother. I was a great blow to me as her mother. I told her she was a extention of me and God gave her to me just as she was. But, she was in her 30 at the time.
I am okay now with this procedure she did.

Hi M..

I have had 2 breast reduction surgeries. The first one at 17 and the next one at 24, as I had gained about 15 pounds and it went straight back to my cheast:(

You will definitely not be able to take care of your kids the next day...The number of internal and external stitches numbered in the thousands for me. You can barely lift your arms for the first week. Do you have someone who can come and stay with you while you recooperate?

It was definitely worth the pain and immobility but I would strongly suggest getting help the first 10 days following your return home. I was in the hospital 3 days with both surgeries...

Good Luck!
