H.D.
My daughter is 8 1/2 months old and I am still nursing her. Fortunately my job allowed me to leave every 2-3 hours to nurse her, so pumping was more of an option than something that I needed to do. However, pumping even without producing a lot of milk will increase your supply... just the stimulation alone will help. I personally wouldn't monitor the amounts of milk she drinks, AS LONG AS she is steadly gaining weight. My daughter has never had a set amount that she drank. She would drink what she wanted at that time. As far as the less naps on the days you work, she is probably sleeping less because she is around different people and different situations, which in turn create more stimulation for her. My daughter did this... and eventually leveled out. I do believe it is just a phase or growth spurt. If you ever have any questions about nursing... please feel free to email me ____@____.com and I will try to help. I am no breastfeeding doctor, but sometimes another mom who went through the same things is all you need. Just try not to stress about it... I know for a fact that frequent stress alone can also decrease your supply. Just monitor her weight and keep pumping... the rest just doesn't matter! :-) Good luck!
