Breast Augmentation - Austin, TX

I had breast augmentation done in 2003. It was the best thing I have ever done. I also had a baby in 2005 and had no effects on them from pregnancy. And you can still breastfeed. I am am midwife now and actually see a lot of women who have breast implants and they are able to breastfeed just fine. The doctor I used is in Round Rock. His name is Dr. McGee and his nurse is also wonderful. He is with Central Texas Plastic Surgery. I had very little pain afterwards and healed quickly, I was up and moving around the next day. I had one child at the time and I could not pick her up for about a week. But she was still able to sit on my lap. I went from a small A to a small D. And I have not had one issue. I think it cost me then just under 4000.00.

I had breast reduction several years ago and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. It was worth the money and the pain. It isn't an easy procedure and I have scars, but I am so happy with the end result. You will need lots of help in the couple of weeks following the surgery. It isn't easy to lift and you can't drive and I can't think of all the other things I couldn't do, but trust me when I say you will need help. I hope you go for it!

Hi T.! I have had 2 breast augs. One 10 years ago and one six months ago. I had my saline implants replaced with silicone implants. I breast fed baby #3 after the surgery just fine and my breasts still looked great! Mine are over the muscle, but I would suggest going under the muscle. The recovery is a little longer, but just take your pain meds and it really isn't that bad. The cost...saline are $5000 and silicone are $7000. Silicone are much softer and look more like real breasts. Feel pretty real too. Saline are harder and have that "fake" booby look. Which I loved in my twenties:-) It all depends on what you are going for. I absolutely loved this website ten years ago www.implantinfo.com. Many pics and sizes to look at. Talk to SEVERAL plastic surgeons...the consults are usually free. Make sure you find one that you are comfy with and seems to be on the same wavelength. Are you done having kids?

I guess that's one of the first questions to ask yourself... Because you don't want to spend the money and time, do the surgery and then find out that you're preggers again! That could cause complications with your breast tissue naturally augmenting from pregnancy, in addition to the implants, plus interference with breast feeding, etc.

Are you wanting implants or do you just want them to put them back into the shape they used to be in? We all have some form of "rock in the sock" syndrome after babies. I know one of the risks is losing nipple sensation but after breastfeeding 3 babies I suppose that is a moot point. I would investigate throughly and research a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. As far as cost goes, You always get what you pay for. You don't really want to go with the cheapest bid on this one. Good luck and I hope you love your new ones.
