I have always loved Cream of Wheat (reminds me of my grandma) and felt good getting some extra iron when I was pregnant.

When I was pregnant with my first, I had fallen in love with Eggo waffles, since they were easy, quick and so tasty. After gaining way too much weight the first 2 months of pregnancy (I had to keep food in the tummy to lessen the "all day" sickness), I didn't want to give up my waffles. I started putting applesauce (the good kind) on my waffles. Just the thought has my mouth watering. My son still loves to eat his waffles like that and he is 22!

Isn't it funny what foods people like.

scrambled or fried egg with toast
breakfast burros - sometimes with sausage, sometimes only cheese and egg
Breakfast sandwich - egg, with or without cheese, sometimes with ham or sausage on a whole wheat eng muffin
French toast with chopped banana on top
whole wheat homemade pancakes with fruit
oatmeal with fruit and walnuts
BLT - I like mine with on over easy egg in it.
Yogurt parfait with fruit and granola
Omelets - possibilities are endless

*During my early pregnancies, if I felt too sick to eat breakfast, I would drink a slimfast type shake. It would get some calories and vitamins in me and make me feel better. Then I would have 'brunch' :)

Right now I am eating Rosemary Sourdough roll I got from Whole Foods yesterday - topped with a couple pieces of pepperoni and grated cheddar. ie: "Cheesy Bread" for breakfast today.

Yesterday I had leftover mexican rice with cheddar and salsa on top.

My son is eating a hard boiled egg, pickle, and blueberries right now.

His other choice was oatmeal.

If I had ham or sausage, I'd totally go for a sausage and egg taco or a ham, scrambled egg, with salsa on top taco - or just eat it from a bowl with a fork.

I say listen to your cravings. Or try to have a variety on hand - so you can take one bite of BBQ leftovers b/c that's your craving, then take another two bites of fresh fruit if that's your next craving.

When I was pregnant, I ate hard boiled eggs for breakfast often. I wanted to get that protein first thing in the morning. I was a teacher and needed something quick that I could eat in the car too - so I kept a dozen hard boiled eggs on hand so i could grab and go in the morning.

I got HOOKED on Fage or Chobani Greek yogurt while prego. Still into it now. I always buy the non fat plain kind, then you can add in fresh fruit or dried cranberries, honey, granola, whatever you like. I found it VERY filling, full of protein and not something nauseating.
Depends on if you like the flavor. If you don't like sour cream, you won't like it.

Another far less healthy option that I liked while preggo and still do, which is why I still look like I could be preggo LOL is a bagel with cream cheese.

PS Congrats on your pregnancy!

My regular breakfast is a bowl of life cereal and coffee, or the breakfast blend nut packages. Ohhh and keifer smoothies are either my breakfast or afternoon snack: 1 cup keifer (It's either in the yougurt section or organic/ health food section in the fridge) 1 cup berries, 1 packet truia. I've been using the chocolate truffle keifer, 1 cup strawberries, and truvia. through it in my magic bullet and tada.. so yummy and healthy!

When I was pregnant I couldn't find too much I wanted to eat either, so on days like that, I drank those Breakfast Shakes that you can get. That and things like Zone Bars too, because they had protein and vitamins that gave me some energy.

Muffins are good and easy
Peanut Butter toast
Egg whites, and fruit
Breakfast sandwiches with meat and cheese

Congrats on the baby!

I was very sick my whole pregnancy with my first son and nothing seemed to agree with me. I lived on peanut butter toast and cheese sandwiches. :)

I still love a toasted peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, very comforting!

On the weekends I enjoy a honey wheat bagel and some neufchatel cream cheese. during the weekdays I eat a bowl of cereal (I know creative right? lol)

I hope you find some things that you can eat. Even if it's just 1 or 2 things!

Congrats and good luck!
