Since every one always posts stuff about how hubby does this or doesnt' do that, I wanted to make a good post. I came home from work last night and hubby had all the laundry and dishes done. I only asked him to put away one load of clothing. Needless to say I was pleasently surprised.
No, my hubby expected nothing in return except for the Thank You I said when I got home from work. I work 60+ hours a week so he knows I need a break every now and then from the dishes and laundry.
I am happy to hear about all the good hubby's out there. I love mine to pieces and appreciate everything he does for me and our family.

Yesterday was my birthday. He put the cards from both him and my kids on the dashboard in my car so I would see them first thing in the morning. He also had flowers delivered to work with the card reading "Daddy told us how much you liked pretty flowers. Happy Birthday, Mommy! Love A & C"

I have been very uncomfortable with this last month of pregnancy- I have had to sleep in my recliner to get any rest at all- so I havent' been able to sleep in my room. My husband has spent every night with me out in the living room- he has been sleeping next to me on the couch- even though I know he is uncomfortable on there- he just wants to be by me! Anyway- he is wonderful!

My hubby took BOTH kids to school this morning (they go to different places and they're not close to one another, so usually we split up the task) and is currently home (he has the day off) sweeping, mopping, cleaning the kitchen and the downstairs powder room. LOVE IT!

Hmm, can not really remember a suprise but just wanted to add he is great most/all the time. He allows me ti get extra sleep on Saturdays even tho he worked 60+ hours during the week, cooks awesome dinners on the weekends, spends quality time with me and the kids (bowling has been our hobby lately and he hates to bowl, lol), smothers me with kisses when he is home.
The list could go on, but just wanted to share how much I appreciate and Love him!!

He mopped the floor and gave the dog a bath the other day, then cooked me dinner and gave me a foot massage. I rewarded him with two hours of video game play. Men can be great sometimes. Mine is great the vast majority of the time.

Nice post!
Last night I told my husband I was going out to dinner with a girlfriend. He was so nice about it. He picked up dinner for the kids. He cleaned the kitchen afterward. He did homework with the kids. I came home to the kids in bed and everything taken care of.
I don't know that I was surprised... but (especially after reading about so many controlling, lazy, and rude husbands out there) it is definitely appreciated!

One morning he got up with the kids and let me sleep in. When I got up (about an hour later than usual), all the dishes were done, the kitchen was cleaned, the living room and dining room were picked up, and the kids were happily playing. It was magic!

My husband always washes dinner dishes, takes out the trash daily and occasionally folds a load of laundry...all without me having to ask. He's done this for years and I greatly appreciate it. Sometimes he even cleans the bathrooms and vacuums.

My hubby splits the housecleaning with and will do all of it if I have to work over the weekend. He makes dinner on a regular basis. Because he works from home most days, he also helps get one kid to an after school lesson or sport when needed. I am very fortunate and grateful that I have such a helpful hubby!

I got home last night after taking the kids out for awhile and he cleaned the kitchen, like totally spotless. It was amazing! His idea of cleaning is usually picking up a few things here and there, not usually enough to make an impact, but this was really great. I love clean kitchens and my husband!

My husband has been dealing with EXTREME drama from his side of the family this past week. On Wed, our hot water heater broke, gushing water all over the basement. As he was on his way home, my BIL's on again/off again GF called to say she was stuck at work because she couldn't get ahold of him and he had her car. I went to pick her up. My husband was SO ANGRY that all of their issues had become our issues (not to mention taking off work to fix the water heater) that by the time I got home 90 min later, he had three loads of wash done, the whole house vacumned (the dogs tracked mud everywhere), the dishes done, the living room and all four bedrooms (the toys and books quantities are astronomical in my house!) picked up, all the wood floors swept, and the kitchen to include the high chair was clean!!! I was floored! I have never, ever been able to do all that in a DAY, let alone an hour and a half! I guess the kids were too scared to interrupt him the way they do all day long for me!

Dishes is my hubbies job, I do them once in awhile, especially when he is working nights, but I will usually just leave them for him. He NEVER does laundry and I am fine with that, I finally have our 3 kids helping with that chore, 2 are starting to do their own, so that is great. My hubby will do whatever chores I tell him need to be done, okay maybe not the bathroom, but he is great about doing what I suggest needs to be cleaned. He just doesn't see the clutter and mess the same way I do, and that is okay!

Too much to list. I must say though that remembering those times really helps when he does something totally thoughtless and you just want to rip his head off. :D I love him so much and I'm so thankful to have him as a partner.

Yesterday I had a day off work - to go on a field trip and take both kids to doctor appts of course. I then came home and made dinner. After that I was spent.
Our daughter needed to have a bath and I did not want to do it. He HATES doing it. But, he gave her one without me asking! THEN....he went and fed her some dinner! Because when we were eating earlier, she was napping so she missed out on eating with us. Rare occurences, but it does happen!

My fiance one day while I was at work cleaned the house (bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, vacumed and mopped), did the laundry, helped our daughter finish her homework and even made dinner! He does this when he knows I have been working too hard and trying to keep up with my school work. It just makes my day knowing he cares!

He got up with our 2 kids this morning and let me sleep in - he closed the bedroom door with that unspoken message of "go ahead and sleep, I won't let the kids come in." ;) He even had coffee ready when I got up. And he ordered some l'occitane and olay products for me that I love. And he gave me a foot massage right in the middle of a wedding reception we went to Sat night because my shoes were hurting me from dancing. He rocks.

My husband surprises me each day by cleaning the kitchen and keeping up with laundry. We work opposite shifts, so we are always single-parenting it when we're home. I am always amazed at how in shape he keeps the house and how happy our boys always are!

When I went to Choir monday night after a week of NOT doing laundry (just did not feel like it) he had already done two loads (including folded) and put things in organized piles (he has no clue where to actually put them) it was nice to not have to gather everything and just go to the organized piles and put things away.

Everyday he does something. Whether it be some kind of chore, something I forgot, caring for me when I'm sick, buying me something special (could be the most inexpensive thing, but thoughtful), making sure I know he loves me and the way I look, etc. The most recent thing? caring for me hand and foot -doing EVERYTHING, canceling important plans of his, etc- when I got very sick this week.
I think it especially means a lot when he's the one gone from home working 7 days a week and I stay at home with the four kids, but we still share our chores. He's great. He does these things cause he loves me, and I do as much as I can for him and our family, too. we LOVE each other, you want your spouse to be happy when you love them:)
I've mentioned on other "men hating" posts, that men can be awesome, and this thread proves it:)

I am so glad you asked! It is easy for us to be negative but that doesn't help our marriages....remember the saying about go into marriage with your eyes wide open but once you are there continue on with your eyes half closed. Basically tolerate the little things that may be annoying but aren't a big issue.
My husband is the kind of guy who wants me with him 24/7 if possible. No, he's not controlling, his love language is quality time. Anyway, so I'm on a one day road trip to another state with him to pick up something. And I happen to mention..."Nobody loves me, I haven't gotten a text all day." Well I went back to looking out the window or whatever I was doing...and a little later I get a text. It's from my hubby. It says, "I love you!" It made me smile!

He let me go back to sleep after I nursed our twins Sat morning (they get up at 5:30) and got up with all three of our kids. (I stay at home and since I have to get up anyway I let him sleep in on the weekends - sleeping in for us is unfortunately only till like 8:30 but it helps!)
