Bra Advice

I have always lived in the south, and have had this issue every year as the temperature and humidity rise. This time I am fed up, frustrated, and ready for any advice you can give!

I find that my bra band collects perspiration to the point that it makes me miserable. Although not extremely busty, I am larger than average. I looked online and found solutions for perspiration in the cups, but that isn't the problem and those solutions didn't work for me. I used to use deodorant/antiperspirant, but my mother is a breast cancer survivor and I am not willing to take a chance on the antiperspirant/breast cancer link.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Rather than try to cover or dry this situation-I use creams-hand creams, lotions or anything and it does better for me than trying to dry it out. It keeps me smooth and I notice I do not get icky when the powders stop working. Give it a try, works for me.

maybe use nursing pads.
They are disposable.
Used for catching/absorbing leaks in breastfeeding women, to insert into your bra.
You can get it at any drug store, baby aisle.

I agree with the sports bras, and look into something like Nike or Under Armor that has the dry fit. I don't know about their bras, but I used to wear Under Armor underwear when I played Softball in the Summer heat and it worked great to keep me dry.

Hi E.. What about a sport's bra. They are supposed to be cotton or cottony around the sweaty areas, and thus made to deal with issues like perspiration etc.

I use a dusting of a deodorizing bath powder or baby powder anywhere I want my body to stay a bit drier--under my breasts, in my underwear or between my thighs, even between my shoulder blades if I'm getting sweaty. It sometimes keeps the sweatiness under control and at least helps with the smell.

I'm watching this, as I have the same problem. It just started last summer. I'm using baby powder, and not wearing a bra whenever possible. I have a heat rash that I can't get rid of. It's right where the bra band hits, not in the cup. I've bought different bras, bigger bras, whatever - nothing is working.

I have seen Playtex advertise a new bra that "feels like the A/C turned on". I have not tried them personally but thought you might like to know it is out there. I wish I had the name of it but I am at work so I can not search for Playtex bras as it is a filtered website.

I'd suggest a sweat wicking sports bra.
Champion makes one.
I live in GA and they work pretty well for me.
