My hubby and kids always feel hot to me but I am always cold. Maybe its just ooposite for you guys. He might run a lower temp so you seem warm to him even though you really arent
My question is I have been with my fiance for just about a year and on the pill ( not coincidentally) for about a year. he tells me all the time that my skin/ hands feel really hot. Also sometimes at night ( while sleeping) he tells me that I am really hot. Sometimes I'm so hot he doesn't wasnt to snuggle which sometimes hurts my feelings but I noticed last night that I just really am hot like I have a heater inside, I had the ceiling fan on and the airconditioner was on so the bedroom temperature is not the problem.. I'm 42 is it hot flashes? Its it my birth control? My kids have never noticed... I used to always be cold . so something has changed....I don't have a temperature... Any ideas?
I have been chalking it up for just our body temp differences esp because my fiance's body seems to be effected by heat differently- he doesn't need to use deodorant! (But he does sweat! ) And don't be too jealous of the AC you should see my electric bill in July! but i do have a dr appt in april anyway..so i'm gonna ask..

My husband calls me his "space heater" for the exact same reason. But I don't really notice it much unless I wake up in the middle of the night on fire. :) I'm not on any BC right now (TTC), and I'm 26, so I don't believe I have hot flashes. I've just always been that way! Hubby sure loves me on cold wintery nights, though...:)
Also, my body temps have always been very low..like 96-97.1 on a regular basis. I always thought it was strange.
I think some people just "run hot"! My husband is like having a space heater IN BED with me--lol
I think it's just normal temperature differences... My fiance and baby always feel cool to the touch when I feel them... and I keep my room fairly cool and one thin blanket, while fiance is cuddled down in a thick comforter. I'm only 23, so I know it's not hot flashes in my case! lol.
I just wanted to chime in and tell you how jealous I am that you had the air condintioning running and I had to scrap frost off my windows yesterday morning before going to work.... YUCK!!!
They call me the furnace.. I always feel hot, but no fever. I hardly ever wear a jacket.. One Christmas up in NYC.. I was hot while wearing a coat.. As long as I have a hat.. I can go out in cold weather and be fine..
I think this is a sign if a thyroid condition, but not sure. It might be worth a check up, or at least a call to the doctor's office.
It could be hot flashes, or it could just be your body has changed its metabolism or something. If nothing else bothers you about it, you're probably fine, but if you're really concerned, a trip to the doc will most likely set your mind at ease.
My 10yr old daughter is like that, too - body feels like a furnace at all times. We once went to a science museum where they had one of those things where you step in front of a screen and it shows you your body temp fluctuations (head is red and yellow, arms are more blue and green, etc). Most people were getting a laugh out of peoples' crotches being hotter than most of the other parts of their body. It was amusing. Anyway, I stepped in front and was mostly blue and green, hubs the same, child one and two also mostly blue/green. My middle child steps in front and she's orange, red and yellow from top to bottom! The child has a super high metabolism, is always moving, kicks off her covers at night, goes outside without a jacket because she *loves* the cold. When she does actually spike a fever, her body feels almost too hot to touch. But when I take her temps, they're always within normal ranges for the human body. And she IS a very passionate, drama-queen-like child, so it's not a surprise that she runs hot all the time.
DH says the same about me....Have your thyroid checked if it bothers you :)
If you are hot, then it could be your estrogen; this usually happens around your monthly. No, worries.
My husband actually calls me her little heater, cute right? No when he comes and put his cold feet or hands on me at night!
I think if you are feeling well, no other sintomes then maybe you are just hot, or he is just too cold, what about that Mr. Ice King?...sorry I couldn't come with something better, lol.
Oh yeah, Mr. Frosty the Snow Men, lol.
The only thing I can thing is when I was pregnant with our first child I was hot to the touch. Normally I am the chilly one. Many nights he went to snuggle me and I was hot to the touch but I didnt have a fever and I felt fine.
