Maybe at night you could try old fashioned rubber pants over the diaper or the newer diaper wraps over the diaper until he fits the size 4 overnights. Good luck.
Hi! I have a 8 month old little boy and he wakes up with wet clothes in the am from his diaper leaking over night. He does have a belly so the diaper does not go up over his belly. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they have done. I have tried huggies and Luv's. He leaks out the top with both. He is in a size 3. We tried a size 4 and the butt is too big. Overnighter I can only find in 4's.
Pampers were the solution!!! They are a little more pricey so we just use those at night! thank you!!!

Pampers Cruisers!!! I have tried every diaper on the market and those are the only ones that hold up through the night. They are also softer on my baby's butt! Good luck!
this sounds odd, but try putting a pad (women's feminine protection) in his diaper. It may not catch all of it, but it will get alot of it!
we did this with my son and it worked wonders!
PAMPERS CRUISERS are the way to go. I also should have bought stock in this company :) We tried every single brand, from name brand to store brand and Pampers by far were the best. They are more expensive but they very rarely leak. Congrats on your new baby and good luck!!
Pampers Cruisers are the BEST!!! They have elastic in the sides with the tape on them and are stretchy so that you can put it tight around his waste without bothering his tummy!! Good luck to you and congratulations on your baby boy!!!
Diaper doublers work great! You can even fold them over as he gets bigger. Good luck,

PAMPERS! We had the same problem. I should have bought stock--Pampers!!
Hi D.!
We had the exact same problem with our son who also has quite a belly! We tried all kinds of diapers, Huggies (not so huggy) and quite a few knock off brands to try to save $$. We found that we didn't necessarily save $$ because we were doing more laundry and changing him more often. Pampers are the way to go! Those are the only ones that have worked successfully for us and do well over night as well. Our son is a little more than 22 pounds (13 months old) and wears a size 4. We are just about to move him to a size 5 because of his belly. We will see how that goes. :-)
Good luck!

I have a 7 month old baby boy and I SWEAR by Pampers. He was in the hosptial for his first 2 weeks of life and the hosptial used Pampers so I just continued using them. I have tried Huggies and he leaked out of his diaper all the time. I NEVER have a problem with Pampers! I am still buying the pampers swaddlers but I think I am going to buy Pampers cruisers next time. I'm not sure what the difference is.
Hi
I had similar problems with my boy. I tried these diaper inserts (kinda like sanitary pads) called "diaper doublers" that I found at Albertsons. I also got some fabric lined plastic pants (kinda like training pants) to go on the outside of the diaper at night. I usually had to wash the plastic pants so you might want to get more than one set.
Good luck
My son is a super-soaker, so I know what you mean! We have had the best overnight success with Pampers. He leaks through every other brand. He does still leak once in awhile, but nothing like before we started using the Pampers. Also, if you can try and make sure 'it' points down as much as possible when you put on the diaper, that can help too...so he's not peeing straight up!
Hope this helps!
Hey D.,
Try "cloth" daipers with the "plastic" covers sometimes those help!! I tried it with my son and did it for about 6 months and then went to deposable!! Good luck

Hi D.
My daughter was doing the same thing...just too much to drink before bedtime I guess. I always checked her pullup just before I fell asleep and then got up once in the night to check her. Fortunatly for me...I can fall right back to sleep. But the thought of her being wet at night...ugh! Yuck!
Good luck.

By the way, does your son have a bottle with him in bed when he goes to sleep?
I had the same problem with my son until I bought the Huggies night diapers. They are the ones on a purple bag. They work great and absorbs alot.
After switching diapers if you are still having problems, get a cloth diaper cover. You can just use the Gerber ones they sell at Target/Walmart. They are little plastic pants meant to go over prefolds or over underwear when potty training. Have him wear it at night and although his diaper may still be soaked, his clothes and bedding won't be.

I've been having the same problem. I don't know if it was a fluke, but this is what I tried last night and it finally worked. I put on a Pampers Baby Dry diaper (they fit more snugly and close to the body) and then a Huggies over that one (the Huggies are a little looser/larger). It was the first night in a long time that he wasn't soaked when I got him this morning... AND the outside diaper was barely wet so I just reused it by itself so it wasn't wasted.
Pampers Cruisers!! Love, love them. Tried Huggies and they leaked the first time out. Good luck!
