I'm so guilty have been since I was a young girl.I buy body washes, lotions, body sprays, chap sticks, hair products to only see now after 3 kids to see how much I buy use & waste.I have scaled way back & only buy when I need to or have a good coupon but I get tired of the scent need a little more hydration or just prefer to use another scent. How about you do you over buy these products to just have them fill up in your closet use them till they are gone & buy when needed?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

For shamppo & washes I refill the soap container, lotions I will stash in the car purse or diaper bag during the cold winter months, conditioners use on my kids or use them to shave with works better then shaving cream,I buy BBW products to give away for that unexpected gift they can always return to get another scent if they prefer to.I will alos give to my nieces who are pre teen they love this stuff & use it all in one shower. As for the body sprays I will use a tester then go back & buy it at a later time if I don't get a headache from it doesn't becoem too strong or the smell doesn't change it has to be perfect scent & I never spray my body with it I mist my clothes & I also use it as an air freshner every now & then. But luckily I do have the room to store these items without it being cluttered but I have told myself use up what I have before I splurge any more it is a girls guilty pleasure to buy these items if you like them & they agree with you.

When I get tired of something I put it in the cabinet, open another and use that until I'm tired of it then I go back to the old one again. Alternating this way makes me feel like I'm back to something "new" again.
You are right though, I still end up having products in my cabinet I won't use because I simply didn't like them.

My allergies make it easy, I buy as needed the few things I am not allergic to. There are a couple things that I can use a couple different brands so I have both of them to change things up but for the most part I find what I can use and stick to it. I will sometimes pick up a couple bottles so I have one under the sink though because I hate nothing more than to get into the shower and find the bottle empty. But I don't think that counts..I wait until something is gone before opening the next one.
My Grandmother had stuff everywhere though! Might be another reason I don't have a lot.

My linen closet is full of half full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotions :)
So I think it's normal.
I'm with you, I like to change it up pretty often.

I try to use them all up, even if I swap one out for a while.

I, too, have lots of 1/2 full bottles. I'm planning to donate them to a Women's Shelter. I was surprised to learn that the bottles can be partially used.

I've already talked myself out of buying a couple of new products.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to that kind of stuff. I have a lot of lotions & sprays right now because my SIL had soooo much she gave it to me cause she was moving (that was 2 yrs ago). Otherwise I am boring & just buy it when I run out. I don't like excess stuff, but most of all I don't like to waste money.

use it up! although I admit to putting shampoo in the soap dispenser if I didn't like what it did for my hair, or use the not-so-good lotion alternating with the good stuff. can't afford to waste it.

nope, I use it all up....waste not, want not! If I tire of the scent, then I mix it with something else. I've even mixed nail polish!

buy a smaller size. If you get tired of a scent after a few days, buy the smallest/travel size available.
