Hi hun it could be shes getting frustrated or tiard with the slow flow nipples my 3 month is on medium flow and variable flow i started him at the variable flow before medium so he could get the hang of controlling it.... good luck ;)
I have a 5 months old girl, and shes been drinking up to 7 oz. of formula, but lately she hasnt been drinking all them ilk, She always leave about 3 oz. I've been trying to give her pablum, for beginners. Im just wondering why shes been leaving that much in there. oh, and also I had her on a schedule, every four hours, but I had just been feeding her when I know shes hungry. And I have the slow flow nipples on the bottles, playtex

Hi M.,
I would get rid of the slow nipple and get one that's easier to drink. I made that mistake too and my son was taking forever to drink. I finally realized it was the nipple. 5 months is also old enough to start cereal and fruit and veggies so maybe talk to the doctor about starting a schedule with those things (my son started at 4 months because he was hungry and ate a lot). Even though you've had your daughter on a schedule as she gets bigger you'll have to adjust the schedule as she grows and changes. She'll start eating more solid food and fewer bottles.
Good luck!
I would move to a faster flow nipple, maybe she is getting bored with the sucking-- she can definitely handle more now. Her teeth may also be bothering her if she is getting any in.
My daughter topped out at 6 oz or so; she never really took more than that.
It might be time to change her to the medium flow nipples though. I think I changed my daughter to the medium flow at around five months, and she started finishing her bottles. She would get tired and fall asleep while trying to drink from the slow flow nipples.
