I would stay at the Marriott Copley Square. Great location and you could walk to Fenway.
Hello everyone,
My husband has tickets to a Boston Red Sox game . . . he normally goes and comes back the same day . . . but this time we were thinking of going up for the night and while he's at the game with his dad . . . my daughter, mother-in-law and I can take a walk around the city, Quincy Market, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions of reasonably priced places to stay within walking distance of shops and places to eat? It's a Saturday night . . . so of course everything is priced high. We found a couple of places on Priceline and Expedia...but the reviews weren't great . . . I thought I'd check here and see if anyone has every done an overnight in Boston and who might have some ideas.
Thanks in advance for your help.

We stayed at a hotel near the airport that has shuttle boat service to Quincy Market. It was lovely.
Maybe not walking distance, but years ago I went to Boston and stayed not far from a train station and took the subway (or whatever they call it there) into the city. Better price and it was something like $4 for the day for parking.
Hi! I always recommend the Constitution Inn http://www.constitutioninn.org/ to people. It's by the Navy Yard (where the Constitution is) and is run by the YMCA. You can walk most anywhere from there (or to the T to go farther or if it's raining). Boston is very walkable. There is also a shuttle boat that can take you. It's clean, safe, has great facilities, and I don't think there is a better deal around. Have a great time!
