Hi Mamas,

I'm the mother of one 13-month-old girl and have another daughter on the way! Please let me know if you have come across any good books about building healthy mother-daughter relationships, and/or building healthy sister relationships.

Thank you!

Here is a good book I read a few months ago:
Between Mother & Daughter (a teenager and her mom share the secrets of a strong
relationship) by Judy Ford and Amanda Ford

It will be more applicable when your kids are a little older, but you may want to take a look now anyway.

Dear M., I have 6 kids ranging from 4 to 16 years old, and been married for almost 17 years. I will tell you first hand that your relationship with your kids, specially daughters, is above all very important (your relationship with your husband is very important too). But I will tell you that in order for your relationships to be good is to have a intimate relationship with the One who made us, the LORD!!! the best book you can ever read for advice and guidance is the Bible!!! God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today and tommorrow... who's better than that, He does not make mistakes. On the other hand, man... we as human beings are not perfect, your relationship with your kids will never be the perfect relationship... but you will find peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding for all your problems. We can learn about the perfect relationship just by reading about our Lord Jesus and His Father in heaven, and in the midst of that relationship they were thinking about us, making way for us to call on The Father for everything thru the blood of Jesus Christ!! May the Lord Bless you and your family, I pray the Lord give you wisdom and guidance in raising your family... with Him in the center of it all!!! It will be the most rewarding experience you will ever have... just by doing His will. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 The Bible has the best advice... it comes from God!!!
