Hi ladies -
I'm new to the area. My family got relocated due to my husband's job. I'm wondering if any of you could suggest local book clubs that I could join. I tried to search on line and also looked around the community but came up empty handed. Either I'm looking in all the wrong places or it's a heavily guarded secret. Thanks so much for the help in advance.

I would try the Naperville Public Library. There wesite is http://www.naperville-lib.org/. They are always very helpful and might know of book clubs in the area.
Your local library would be a good place to start - they might have one already that you could join.
Also, I put "Aurora, IL BOOK CLUBS" in the yahoo search box and found this site... (there weren't any listed in Aurora, but there is one in Roselle and North Riverside....)

I love to read and would love to join a book club... I just don't have the time (single mom w/ sole custody, spend 55 hours a week (M-F) out of the home for work).
Hi Johanna,
Depending how close you are to Batavia, the Batavia Library has a pretty great schedule of "storytimes". Here's a link to their April calendar: http://www.batavia.lib.il.us/calendar/calendar_april07.htm
I don't know of any in my area (Downers Grove), but if you have no success, I would be interested in starting one of our own. I'm sure we could find a few more moms on here that would be interested.
