I hate to have to ask this but I have been wondering for weeks and wonder if anyone else has this problem. Lately my husband just smells terrible of BO. He never did in the past. He hasn't changed his grooming habits, he still takes a shower every day, puts on deoderant and cologne just like he always has. I have asked him about it and he DOESN'T notice. It is totally grossing me out and I wonder if it could be something medical. Most recently I have asked him to shower before getting into bed because its THAT BAD! Help me please!

What can I do next?

I wonder, has he started a new medication or vitamin. They can cause body oder sometimes. That's all I can think of about that.

I had a friend who was taking a special vitamin and it made him smell like garlic. It was very gross but he couldn't help it.

Yes eating something can have a stinky reaction. Baking soda is a good odor eater. and you can use it on your body too. I know some soap or shampoos make me smell worst than going with out. Is he taking any medication. Hopefully this is just a phase and his body is just trying to get out some toxins. If it’s been like this for a few weeks or longer I would have him go to the dr. Something could be going on. Does he breath stink too?
Good luck.

You know maybe this is just me being neourotic but this happens to my family about once a year. I switch deoderant brands periodically and this seems to solve the problem. Also I have found that I can't use clears. We Always use solids, clears just don't seem to work for some people. Including me. LOL! Worth a shot to just switch kinds. Might do the trick.

I would look into his eating habits. Has anything changed with his diet? A low carb diet can really mess with a persons chemistry and cause all sorts of nasty conditions. Just a suggestion. Good luck ~Bri

Deodorants and Shampoos should be changes every once in awhile. Your body and hair grow use to them and they no longer work. Some people are not affected but I know that my hair stylist suggested I start switching every three month or when I see a change in the oil in my hair. I change about twice a year. I recently noticed that I had to change deodorant after six years of using the same brand. See if that works.

my father has the same problem but most of his has to do with some of the things he eats makes it worse and because his thiroid was way out of wack and now that hes' getting it under control i can tell the difference, but like i said if he eats stuff like broccoli it is really bad and even he can tell he smells. So you may want to look at what he eats.

Any chance you're pregnant? I can't stand the smell of my husband when I'm pregnant. Any other time he doesn't smell bad, but when I'm pregnant he literally makes me sick!

Ask him to go to the doctors because it could be something in his body like he could have chemical imbalance to cuase the odor or he has to use a different body soap.
