If you had to choose, would you want to have 1. a boat to travel all over the world by sea, or 2. a plane to travel all over the world by air? Why?
I'm a boat girl, all the way. Someday, after the kids are gone, we are CHUCKING it all and sailing into the sunset!!!
Happy Friday!!

What can I do next?

Plane, definitely. For me it's all about getting from point A to point B as fast as possible and not waste time on the actual traveling.

I say train. While boat can be truly relaxing--especially compared to the chaos of being a parent, and a plane gets you where you want to go, a train rally lets you see everything. I would love to take the train along the west coast as well as through the Canadian Rockies. I have also looked in European train trips. I live in the city so the only mountains are cement and the only grass really is the back yard or public parks. They are still surrounded by a lot of cement. The colors to see are amazing--and NO gray--unles maybe a tree trunk. :)

Boat! Flying scares me, I am going on my first solo flight in three weeks. Usually I go with husband and my daughter. The great thing about having a two year old on a plane is that you focus all your attention on keeping her entertained and not that you are on a plane. I really hope the stranger sitting next to me doesn't mind if I grab his/her hand if the flight gets bumpy!

I am not a boat girl so a boat is out of the question.

As for flying... I hate it but I do it. I've been on 3 emergency landings and it is not fun watching the firetrucks chase you down the runway.

I won't let my hatred of flying keep me from flying but I won't get on anything smaller than a regional jet.

BOAT BOAT BOAT BOAT BOAT!!

I freaking HATE heights.

The thing is, my fiance has SERIOUSLY been looking into houseboats and asking me if I'd ever live on one after the kids were grown and gone... I thought it was a joke and said 'oh yeah, sure'...but he is making running lists of things that can and can not come on the houseboat!! ;)

I am scared out of my mind to fly. So boat girl!!! I love the ocean. So being surrounded by it would be absolutely amazing. I would want to sail in the tropics. See coral reef and clear blue water. It is always going to be a dream of mine:) I also would want to port St. Malo, in France. It is so romantic.

Can we have a train? I like to see the landscape. I also like to travel RV. Its fun to see all the sights along the way and just stop when you feel like it.

Assuming I did not have time constraints, I'd absolutely go with the boat. Airplanes will get you where you want to go, but the boat is more leisurely and relaxing. I also am on board with Dana K. I do love the trains, and they're great for getting from one land spot to another.

Plane. I love flying. If I didn't get so seasick, I'd love sailing, too.

the sea is unpredictable and it's a slow way to get anywhere. Takes too much planning and forethought to prepare for all the possibilities. Too dangerous. No protection from the elements, and not close enough to any place I might want to spend money. So, I would jet around place to place so I could see more and shop more. I like the idea of waking up in 1 country/time zone and going to bed in another. I can always rent a boat for a few hours when I get there!

Great question! If those were my two choices, I'd pick the boat, too. The places I'd most like to see are coastal. I have a love of water. From where I'm sitting right now I look out onto a lake. In the summer there will be sailboats out there every day. Beautiful!
