i had some labs drawn for my pregnancy and i called to get the results because i had to cancel my apptionment until a later time anyways the nurse said they are on hold so he can discuse them with me but she said she could tell me that my kidney levels were low i think she said a 6 (normal is 7-15 im pretty sure ) and that my potasuim was low and my sugar was high. im cncerned because my sides have been hurting before this and i have high blood pressure which can damage kidneys. and ive had two bruises for more then a week from where they took the blood. WHATS GOING ON WITH MY BODY????

What can I do next?

I had similar problems during all three of my pregnancies. High blood was to blame. High blood pressure will also cause kidney problems. What I did not know during my pregnancies is that I have lupus. Look to see if you have any rashes on your face chest or arms. Don't let them tell you it's the mask of pregnancy. It could be much more. It took over ten years to get a diagnosis of lupus. My best advice to you is to keep track of you ph levels in your urine. You can buy test strips at health food stores or order online. My guess is that it will show your body is acidic. To remain healthy you must change that to alkaline. This can be done by eating an alkaline diet. Here's a website that breaks done which foods are alkaline http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/acid_alkaline_foods.... Also, it wouldn't hurt to drink a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water one a day. I believe this will make a difference. I wish I had known these things ten years ago! Remember an alkaline diet
consists of mostly fruits and vegetables. Good Luck!

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!

First of all... high blood pressure during prgenancy can be fatal to both mother and child. This is serious! Throw in low potassium and high sugar and bruising - you could have gestational diabetes. How serious are you about wanting to have a healthy baby and being around to watch it grow-up? This is no longer about just you.

Right now, there is nothing more important than getting to the doctor to find out what's going on. Do whatever you have to do to get there.

AND, I don't know who your current doctor is, but if you need a second opinion or would consider changing doctors, mine is a reproductive specialist, and is absolutely INCREDIBLE. His name is David McLaughlin - website is www.familyjoy.net and has his contact info on there.

Good luck!!

You need to see the doc. I don't know why you cancelled, but it's very very very important that you call and re-schedule immediately.

Go back to the doctor as soon as possible! Most of us here are not doctors but all sorts of things can happen during pregnancy. Likely your doctor will want more blood tests.
Not to scare you but Your potasium level can have something to do with your heart.
Pregnancy xan be hard on your body the earlier you get a handle on this the better. Make you and baby your number one priority and get to the doctor.
