i have 3 blood clot disorders, and in 2004 i had a healthy full term pregnancy, not knowing i had anything.then in 2007 i got blood clot's in my lung's,they said was caused from birth control pill's.then i got pregnant in 2008.i was six weeks so they put me on lovenox shot's once aday, and i had a miscarriage at 8 week's.. ..then i got tested for blood clot disorders and i have 3 of them...so when i got pregnant in nov of 2008 they put me on heprin shot's twice a day.i started the shot's at 5 week's.and i had my baby at 25 week's...and she passed away just a few minute's after birth.and i had to have an emergency d and c,cause my placenta wouldent come out..and i lost over 2 pint's of blood....they told me at 20 weeks i had low aminotic fluid......so a week after i had my gracee lou ann the night of her funeral i got blood clot's in the lungs again..and they put me on cummadin for the rest of my life...now they tell me i can get pregnat again..but my worry is not getting pregnant,it's the part where they will have to take me off my blood thinner the day of delievery and one day after...i'm affraid of getting a clot in between then...if anyone has gone threw anything like this i would appreciate to hear your story and outcome's....thank you!!'.' ok so i went to see an oncolgist yesterday and he told me i have 4 blood clot disorders, and he has only seen one other person with that many disorders, and he said there is still a risk of me getting a clot even though i would be on blood thinner'sduring pregnancy, how is that possible???so now im gettinf the blood tested again to see if there was a mistake with the blood work the first time so maybe i dont have ll for or maybe i do..:(

I was on Lovenox for both of my pregnancies for a blood clotting disorder, and went off of it a few days before each c-section and everything went fine. I was high-risk for both pregnancies.

My doctor is incredible, and would be a good person for you to see. His name is David McLaughlin, and his office is at 146th & Hwy. 37 in Noblesville/Fishers area. www.familyjoy.net

My OB/GYN was Jim Brillhart. Amy Hayes is also good.

Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions I can help answer.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know I understand how you are feeling & I'm here if you ever want to chat! I have a blood clot disorder, we found out when my 5 year old son was born, he was full term via c-section, but only weighed 4 lb, 15oz. They found the blood clot, during the c-section. We were advised that with future pregnancies, I had a 50/50 chance of it again, with blood thinners I still had a 10% chance. We decided that it was best for my husband to get a vasectomy, and adopt in the future, but there have been times over the past 5 years that we have regretted that decision. I hope everything works out for you!

I am so sorry to hear about your problem. I had dificulty carring all 4 of mine, I lost my first baby miscarriage, then the second I started labor in the 28th week & finally delivered in the 32 week, #2 I was on bed rest in the 5th month untl she was born, the 3rd rested on my spinal column, & I kept kicking my nerve & I would fall. But I started with serious problems after the fact. But I learned to work with Homopathic methods to help. With sleeping ect.. I read where some doctors allow you to take 1 baby aspirin a day even for pregnant woman, Ginko Bilboa, and Garlic pills, GNC can suggest medicines & talk to your Doctor about the different Homopathic treatments. Also when I was younger I drank a lot of Sassafras tea and it thinned my blood. I am not sure where you can get it, my dad digs up the root for me. Those are a few suggestions to help thin your blood.
