I am looking for suggestions for Websites and Blogs that will help me to become a better mom/housewife and not feel like I am going nuts all the time lol.

I am trying to get organized/declutter and become more of a from scratch type cook. I do have ADHD and my girls do also. My girls are 14, 9,7 and my husband is a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer). I have tried Flylady but I am not quite ready to try that again - believe me been there tried that (way back from when she first started her yahoo group)

Anyways, any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Also websites to ideas for decorating and stuff

Thanks

What can I do next?

I'm sure there are websites out there, but you could also check your local library for cookbooks. It sounds like you could benefit from a "cook for a day, eat for a month" type of book. You really do cook all day and freeze everything and you have meals for a month. Could be a fun group project to do with your girls! I have done this and I'm thinking I need to plan another cooking day. It really does help!

Be your own Flylady. Make lists for each day of the week and check them off. Very motivating to see everything get crossed off! Keep the lists on the fridge where you can see them, or put a bulletin board up in the laundry room and hang them there.

Finally, I love HGTV. I will have it on for background noise during the day and I pick up on some great ideas here and there. The website is good, too.
You can also do a search of Mamapedia for ideas that have been posted previously. Lots of good stuff out there.

Good luck!

Try flylady.org for your de-cluttering and housekeeping needs. :) As far as cooking...um... maybe try to find some simple recipes you like, decide when you'd like to make the meals and purchase the ingredients a few days in advance. I hope this helps. Best wishes! :)

Karens suggestion about freezing food is great. When I make Lasagna or Ziti, I make extra and freeze the extra in bags with enough to feed the whole family. Homemade meatballs are also great to keep in the freezer for a meal in a pinch.
The beginning of each week I now also crockpot a cut up chicken. I make sure there is plenty of chicken for dinner and at least one other night. You can use recipes that don't seem like you're having leftovers. You can make Chicken quiche, chicken tacos, ..... lots of different things with the left overs. Sites like all recipes.com (many others too) have great ideas. You can even type in the ingredients you have on hand to help narrow your search down.
There are lots of slow cooker recipes online. I have one I really love and try others every so often. Anyway, I also crockpot the chicken with the parts placed in a 'soup sock.' Crockpoting chicken makes it fall of the bone, so the sock makes it so you can pull it out of the pot while keeping it together. This way there aren't bones in the remaining juices either. Ultimately making it easier on you :)
