The other night my husband and son had what I would call a "Bless Your Heart" moment. They were at a buffet resturant, while the where in the line for food my son threw up. Right there in the middle of the resturant. Now my husband was very good in getting help cleaning it up and getting our son to the bathroom in a timely manner. After my son gave the all clear they calmly walked out of the resturant and everything was fine. So, as my husband was telling me about this he was wondering what is the proper thing to do when things like this happen. Well I might try to be supper mom every once in a while but I didn't have an answer for him. So, I thought you ladies might. What is the correct way to handle this type of thing? Also please share some of your "Bless Your Heart" moments with us.
Thanks Ladies

I think your hubby handled himself extremely well! This just happened to me last week actually (I think the stomach bug is making its way around). I did exactly what your husband did. My son was actually very embarrased so I was extra sensitive to let him know that it was OK that these thing happen and that it was no big deal. After I cleaned him up, I went out, apologized to the staff again and left a generous tip.

Hope your son is feeling better!!

I have a "puker" in my family. It's ok, he is not sensitive to his nick name, just to foods. Actually he never gets sick in restaurants anymore. We cleared our fair share of them when he was little! Your husband did all he could do. We are not robots and it happens. My son's most famous moments were at home. Sat down for Thanksgiving dinner with him on my lap when he was almost 2, he took one bite of deviled egg and threw up in my full plate. A neighbor brought a bunch of cherry tomatoes and I had him on one hip. He took one bite of tomato and threw up across the
kitchen floor. He is a very picky eater because I knew if I made him eat it I would be cleaning it up. We cleared a Mexican restaurant one time with a lot of family visiting. Luckily we had just finished! Sorry about that folks!

I also think your husband did very well! This happened to us a few months ago with my 3 yr old at Genghis Grill. She threw up right in the middle of the food line. We were mortified, but it happens sometimes. The restaurant was very good about it. I'm sure it happens to them all the time too. I started laughing when I read your story because of what happened to us. It wasn't funny then, but it is now. LOL

I think your husband did a great job considering the situation. It's a tough one! Once when my daughter was 3 or 4 we were in a restaurant and she said she didn't feel well, so we went to the restroom. Of course, there was a line.... I asked the ladies if we could go ahead of them since my daughter didn't feel well. The woman in front said no, she was there first. My daughter then threw up at her feet. Very funny now, but it took many years. Someday I hope your husband and son can laugh about it, too.
