I would recommend calling them and with this being a sunday I would maybe go to the ER. You shouldn't be passing that huge of clots for no apparent reason. Good Luck to you!!!

It's normal. It seems that you were less than 6 weeks pregnant and you are having a miscarriage at the SAME TIME you're having your IUD removed. What a coindence! I wait and see if the bleeding goes away in 4-5 days. If not, it's probably a puncture by the IUD.

Hi
I have had that problem but I am always told that it is my hormones. But it is safer to find out from your doctor if that is normal for you. Better safe then just letting it go on.

Call your doctor immediately! Even though it's Sunday and after hours. The answering service will call the doctor on call. If no response from your doctor or the doctor on call, go to the ER. Maybe consider another form of birth control. IUD's can get lodged in the wall of your uterus and cause scarring etc. They are better than IUD's of a long time ago but it is still a foreign object in your body. You should not be having that much bleeding especially with clots. I use to be an ER nurse. Always better to be safe.

Best of luck,

B.

Hi! I had the same IUD, and I did *not* experience that much bleeding when I had it taken out. I had a little spotting, and that was it. Definitely call your doctor! Don't wait!

It never hurts to call your doctor. If it's normal wouldn't it be better to know, so you're not worried. If there is a problem it's better to have it taken care of early. Good luck.

If you are soaking one pad in 2 hours or less and it is red you should at the very least call your dr. No one should ever bleed like that unless you have just delivered and then only for a short while.

I would definitely call if I were you, better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes clotting could be a sign of something a little more serious so maybe go in so they can check just to be sure.

I have never had this form of birth control but I would suggest speaking to your doctor. It really is better to be safe than sorry!
