Hello, Starting a day or half a day at the Spa or even just getting your meni and pedi together followed by lunch at the Tea Room and Dinner at International Plaza (Outside area on Baywalk) and Dancing at the Blue Martini or Fox Launge and then breakfast at the Village Inn. Have Fun!!!
Hello. It's in Orlando but how about taking her to go see Blue Man Group? My Mom turned 66 this year and she keeps saying how bad she wants to go see that show. Next time she comes down to visit us in Florida we are surprising her with tickets to go see it.
Depending on what type of music or show she likes. There is a Spanish restaurant called Spain and they have live music and Flamenco dancers on some Fridays and Saturdays. Also go online to check out Tampa Bay.com
there are places in orlando that have dinner and live entertainment. one is a speak easy scene one is the dolly pardon one is the viking. sorry i dont remembeer the names but go on the orlando fla site and let you fingers do the walking. good luck and have fun. GMAJ
I suppose it depends how far you're willing to go for a birthday party. You could google Channelside and look through the restaurant lists there. You could do the same for Ybor. There's the Columbia Restaurant there. Or you could go to Orlando. Disney has great eateries/shows at the hotels, such as Ohana or Spirit of Aloha both at the Polynesian Resort. Or Ft. Wilderness has the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. You have to have reservations, because they fill up fast. You DON'T have to be staying at the resort. You drive up to the gate and tell the security guard you are there for lunch/dinner, etc., they give you a parking pass and you enjoy yourself. I've been to both Polynesian restaurant/shows, and they were both fabulous. We did Ohana for our anniversary, had a table near a window, watched the live singing in the restaurant, then stayed for the fireworks on the beach. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
Orlando also has Sleuth's Mystery Dinner show, Arabian Nights, the two mentioned below (Dolly Parton and the other), Pirates Dinner Show (that was really fun!), Medieval Times (good food and show). Most are evening showings, though, with two a day, one fairly early and one later. Like, say, a 5:30 then an 8 pm. That's just an example. All are on AAA for discount priced-tickets. All should have a reservation, too.
There are other unique dining experiences that don't necessarily have a show, but are very entertaining, such as the Brazilian or Japanese steakhouses where they cook the food over an open fire at the table. There are listings for both when you google them. I know there's a Brazilian one in Orlando, and I believe Valrico/Riverview area. Just google "Brazilian (Japanese) steakhouse, Tampa, FL" for listings, addresses, phone numbers.
Hope your mom has a happy birthday! My own is the 13th, but nothing special happening for me this year.
What about Dixie Stampede in the orlando area? They are supposed to have a real good show and food. I have never been there but have heard good things.
How about some place that has dueling pianos. That is usually a fun environment for everyone and it is lively and great for that "young spirit".
