My second daughter will be turning ten soon and I have no idea what to do for her birthday. My apartment is too small for a party with everyone that would be invited. Does anyone have any suggestions? O and please not chucky cheese, done that one way too many times LOL! I also have a bugdet so something simple fun and not too expensive. Thanks a bunch!

What can I do next?

My almost Nine daughter just went to the movies and Mcdonalds for the 'party" and they loved it. My last B-Day party was minature golfing ( they loved it together ). Also a party at the skate rink and bowling have been fun activities for the the kids that age without breaking the bank...

Not sure what your budget is, but my son is about to turn 10 as well and we are looking at having his birthday at The Jungle. I think it's FAR better than Chuck-E-Cheeses! Chuck-E-Cheese seems to be all about video games, so all you hear the whole time your there is "Mommy, more tokens pls!" The Jungle has a HUGE play structure and my kids LOVE it! They have a game area, but most of the facility is focused on the play structure! Their food is great too! They also have Starbucks....great for those (adults) who want a Mocha!

Here is their website if you are interested in checking them out...

Have you ever been to the Siliman Aquatic Center in Newark? It is a GREAT place for parties, in the same price range as Chuck E Cheese but the kids have WAY more fun and the food is better!

My son just went to a party at Michaels craft store, and had a great time! If your daughter is into crafty things, it was really fun. They charge a certain price per child, and you can pick a craft for each of the kids to do. Also, we went to a party at Nickel City in San Jose recently that was a lot of fun too! Good luck!!

I grew up in this area and am a mom now too. Anyway for my tenth birthday, I had a party at an outdoor ice skating rink in Palo Alto. I think its called the Winter Lodge. That was a blast! I think the kids can just ice skate and have pizza afterwards and/or hot cocoa.
