Where is the best place to get my 2 year olds photo taken? I don't want to spend alot and I want his picture taken with animal props. Whether it be a real animal or just some stuffed or plastic ones? This captures what he loves at this time in his life but we don't have our own "real" animal. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

J.,

I am not sure where you live, but I absolutely LOVE Portrait Innovations. You can look them up at portraitinnovations.com for store locators. I love them b/c you can do outfit changes, you take the pictures, look at them, select which ones you want and they print them that day for you to take home. That is the best feature. Other places take up to 4 weeks to get the pictures back, and by that time, kids grow so fast, they barely look like their picture! They also have a ton of back drops and having pictures with animals- alive or fake would be no problem at all. I wish you the best in choosing, but Portrait Innovations gets two thumbs up from me. Oh- they also have a package that you can get one pose for $9.99- it includes, 1- 10x13, 2-8x10's, 4-5x7's, 4-3x5's and 32 wallets- which is fantastic! The most difficult part is narrowing down all the amazing pictures! Goodluck!

I've been taking my baby to the JCPenney at great northern since he was 6 weeks old and am happy with the pictures I've ordered. You can take his own favorite stuffed animals with you.(we've taken his favorites of the moment)I haven't used many of their props(a basketball and football are the only ones I can think of) so you may want to ask someone at the studio what they have as far as animals go if you want to check them out.At one time the manager was talking about getting a goldfish in a bowl for pictures but I don't know if she ever did.

If you are close to Hinckley, I have a friend who has her own studio in her basement and takes great digital pictures. I've been taking my kids for over two years now. I get a CD with tons of pictures, I upload them to Walgreens and its inexpensive.

I thought Kiddie Kandids was great and really took a lot of poses to choose from with lots of cute props. For standard sizes, you can get them printed and take them home immediately.

Good Luck!

I'm not sure how close it would be, but I love Portrait Innovations (www.portraitinnovations.com). They are in Medina, Solon, Avon and opening soon in Mayfield Heights (plus other locations). They are quick, you can do 2 outfits, you select the pictures right away and they are printed in about 1/2 hour. And compared to other studios, they are relatively inexpensive! The first package is $9.95, but I usually get 6 or 7 poses and pay around $100-$120.

Portrait Innovations in Solon is fantastic! They have a package that is about $15. Of course, you can add on anything you want and end up spending hundreds, but they aren't pushy at all. Also, they print right there so you get your pictures in about 20 minutes. Their quality is much higher than Sears or the like and you don't have to wait 3 weeks. Totally worth it! They ahve a good website that shows all their locations. There might be one closer to you (you didn't say where you live).
