I need a nice and clean idea for my son's second birthday. Not too expensive. (ie. McDonald's playland)

What can I do next?

What about your house with family and close friends. He's only 2 and he really won't remember having a birthday party. As long as you feel you've given him a special day to mark the occastion. Have fun!!

I just went to a 1 year old b-day party and it was in the park. I thought it was a pretty good idea. Its outside which kids love and its not expensive and there's no mess in your house!! Kids can run around and be wild if they want and there was a volleyball net for adults and a playground for kids as well.

Mcdonald's playland would be fun too.

Are you located near a YMCA? I am a supervisor at a YMCA and one of my departments is birthday parties. They are fun, because we take out parachutes, gymnastics mats, tunnels, slides, and play a lot of age appropriate games. Everything is supervised and there is also swim time. The parents can go in the pool with their kids and their is no charge for the adults. That is our Y, so I am not sure about other Y's.

The Burger king in my town doesn't charge to use there facility for Birthday partys. My 4 year olds party is there in just 2 weeks. I was told I can bring my own cake and decorations but they couldn't quareentee that there wouldn't be other kids in the playland.

How about a picnic in the park with where kids can run and play and if you wanted maybe even BBQ hotdogs or something like that.

My girlfriend is doing the park thing too for her 1 yr old this weekend. Super close to the house...but not IN your house!
I think she said she was getting some "Hot n Ready" pizzas and making a salad. Sounds simple enough!

How about at a park. I am going to celebrate my sons first b-day by taking him and our close family to the zoo and than having a bbq afterwards. Either at one of the park areas near at the zoo or just going to a park with grills. Pretty cheap I would say. And also nice play area to run around and get all that energy out. Good luck.
