Parr park is a good place for birthdays. you can rent out a covered area and the kids can all play at the park. You can just go to the recreation center in Grapevine (by the library) to do this.
Any ideas where we can have a last min party )like 3 weeks from now) for a 3 yr old?? Some where that is not too expensive. Paradise Pond is all booked. I have heard about a playplace owned by the city of Grapevine?? Not sure of the name?

I think what you're talking about that is through the city is at the rec center. You can rent out the gym I believe and even rent a bounce house. The number there is ###-###-#### and they can tell you everything about it.
Also, our church, Church at the Cross, has a playplace that you can rent out. It's only $75 for 10 kids. The church number is ###-###-####. You can check the calendar online and possibly get in quick if there is an open slot and the party attendent is available. The website is http://www.thechurchatthecross.com. We've had a couple of parties there for my daughters and been to a few others. The kids love it.
Hi B.
I live in Grapevine and my son is going to turn 3 in about a week. I am having his party at the Texas Teddy Bear Factory on Main Street in downtown. You can bring your own cake or food and they are reasonable when it comes to the dolls. I'm just having a small party so it worked for us.
There is also a water park (free I believe) that is at one of the Euless parks, not far from Grapevine that I have been to before. It was a great party, you can have them all splash around (there are a lot of fountains, etc) and have a picnic there. Very inexpensive and the kids love it!
Weekday parties are much cheaper at Pump It Up. The 1.5 hour party is only $169 for 15 kids.
Good luck!
There is a playplace in Flower Mound called Adventure Day Playcare in Parker Square, and they do birthday parties (only on Sundays, I think). I don't know what the cost would be, but it's probably less expensive than Going Bonkers or Pump It Up, or something like that. Chuck E Cheeses is also less expensive. Or you can do it at a park and hire entertainment? I never heard of Paradise Pond. Can you please tell me where that is? Thanks, and good luck. Michelle
Hi B.,
We like "Pump It Up" in Grapevine and of course for that age group, Chuck E. Cheese's is always a favorite. There is one in Hurst and one by the Grapevine Mills Mall.
Have fun!

The easiest, most fun party we ever had was for our oldest child when he was 3. Wow! It was 20 years ago, because he's turning 23 next month! We put a medium-size wading pool and a slip-n-slide in our tiny back-yard, and gave all the children squirt guns. They ran around squirting each other and laughing. Husband grilled burgers and hot dogs. We had a homemade cake with Elmo on it. ((I discovered that if I used tracing paper and colored it with markers and laid the paper on the cake with the colored-side-up, it stuck into the icing and looked like a professionally decorated cake. BE SURE to peel off the paper before serving.)) It was fun, no hassle, and the little wading pool was his favorite hang-out for many weeks after the party.
If I was going to do the same kind of party today, I'd probably use cupcakes and press them all together in the shape I wanted - - less mess than slicing and serving cake. I also saw that they have a new kind of slip-n-slide that comes with a skim-board. Saw it at Wal-Mart. If you have an older child, you can tuck away the skim-board in a closet ((because it would be much TOO DANGEROUS for 3-year-olds)) and then bring it out for the older child a couple of days after the party!! - - two presents in one.
