Birthday Party Ideas for My 6 Yr Old Daughter

My daughter's turning 6 in Dec. and she wants to have a birthday party with her friends from school. I don't want to spend the hundreds of dollars it costs to have her party somewhere. I think it's silly that we have to spend so much on just having the party. Does anyone have any ideas on where we could have it cheap, or ideas for having it at home. I did a pretend sleep over with her preschool class (8 kids total) last year and it was fun to play games with their sleeping bags. She has 15 kids in her class this year, and I don't know if I have enough room in my house for that many. With it being in Dec. I'm stuck with keeping it inside. Any ideas or suggestions would be wonderful!!!

When my daughter turned six we had a tea party with her friends. I made little tea sandwiches (pb&j and cream cheese and cucumber and cut then into little triangles)we had a few different flavors of tea, a big bowl of strawberries and little butterfly cookies and the birthday cake. I found straw hats for the girls to decorate and wear during tea time and at each place setting I had a pair of kid gloves and beads that looked like pearls. They loved it!

Wonderscope Children's Museum in Shawnee does birthday parties for $125 for up to 12 kids (each add'l kid is $6) - and it includes cupcakes and juice.

My son took several friends bowling for his 6th birthday. It was a big hit! We didn't do a party package so I'm not sure what the cost for that would be.

well we would have to have snow at the time, but have a snow man building contest in your yard then hot coco while you open presents! It's outside, but quick as everybody would get cold. IF we don't have snow maybe you could do it inside with strofoam balls and craft supplies!
