Birthday Party Ideas for Daughter Turning 5 - Beaverton,OR

you could do a dress up tea party. have the guests bring their favorite dress up clothes. you could go to goodwill and find some hats and jewelry really cheap to add to the mix. buy feather boa in bulk from joanne's and cut it in to good lengths for the girls. then have lunch...pb and j finger sandwiches, cookies, fruit, etc. with tea on real china. the "tea" could even be juice if they don't want real tea. again, you can find tea cups really cheap at goodwill and some antique stores. or you might already have some that aren't too precious for the girls to use. my daughter is almost 4 and she is really into the whole dress up thing so her birthday is going to be like this.

I had experience booking a clown for a party and she was wonderful! I think it was Jolly Molly the Clown. I found her in one of the local parent magazines. She did face painting that was so cool, she painted every child in the face of a different animal and they loved it. She played games and had the kids running around the yard doing races and grabbing candy it was great~!

Anyway, I just ran into a neighbor that does parties and she said she just got done with a party for adults and I thought that was so funny. I guess any age is fine because we all like to be silly sometimes. You know I think I might consider that sometime, I mean who doesn't like a perma-grin! Humour goes a long long way!!!

I forget what age she was, but my niece had a party where they did each others hair and nails. It was very girly and foofy, but they had a great time! I don't know what your little one is into, but hey, its an idea! If not this year, maybe another year when she might be interested. Bumper bowling is always a good time as well. If you wanted to do it at home, why not hire a friend to be a clown or magician, then you don't need to worry about it because you already know them, AND you can go nuts in the magic shop! We did the Children's Museum - reasonably priced, indoors, definite to be a fun time! Other people like Papa's Pizza (there's one in Hillsboro, but still reasonably located for us Beaverton people), Pump it Up (but I think they are too pricey - if you don't know it, it is an indoor place with big blow up bouncy slides and rings, etc), hmmmm...all I can think of for now. I'm sure others will have a ton of suggestions, too! Good luck!

I go to Papa's Pizza, my daughter's birthday is in January. You don't have to buy one of their packages. They will refriderate your cake & ice cream until you ask for it. I always insist that at least one parent be there with their child because you are so busy setting up and running your party you can't watch the kids play in the playroom. You are given 2 hours if you call and reserve a time and they will reseve you an area. The day of the party I am running from the word go, but everyone all the kids and the parent's have a great time & I get lots of great pictures with out having to worry about my house being torn apart. You will meed someelse there to watch your child while you keep the ball rolling. It's one hectic day, but only one. Hope this helps.
