I would appreciate ideas for my daughter's 8th birthday party. We have done Build-a-Bear, and the local token pizza place already. I am sure she will want to invite girls and boys. I don't want to do it at our house. I would LOVE to hear about mom's good experiences/ideas! (Aurora/Naperville area)

What can I do next?

There is a place in Oswego, very close to Aurora, called Bounce Town. It's essentially an inflatable playground. They have two rooms full of the inflatable jumpy pits, obstacle courses, etc. The kids will spend about an hour in the first room, an hour in the second room and then head to a room for cake & presents. We've been to several parties there and the kids LOVE it. Hope that helps!

I know you said she might want to invite boys and you didnt want it at your house, but you might want to consider doing Bella Bee(its Noahs Ark sister line). Its a glamour girls makeup session that teaches them a character building lesson and the girls have a blast..THe birthday child of course receives free items..A usual party lasts about 1hr, so if yo uhad the party for 2 hours, it would be just enough time. Nothing for the parent to do, the noahs ark/bella bee consultant can send out invites for you.

It really is alot of fun..

How about a local indoor pool party. Many park districts offer this and the kids in my area always enjoy these. We are actually invited to another one at the end of September and my son can't wait. This is defintely something that both boys and girls can enjoy.

Naperville Gymnastics throws a good party and it is suitable for boys and girls.

Not sure it was still there, but there was an adorable Tea room down town Naperville on the second floor on Jefferson St. The girls got to dress up and have a tea party. Perfect age for something like this.
