I am looking for suggestions for boys birthday parties, there seems to be a ton of
things out there for girls. Does anyone have any super fun suggestions for an 8 Year old boy birthday party? I am looking to go somewhere; I've done tons of parties at home and they have been fun, but also very stressful for me.
This last January for my other sons b-day we went cosmic bowling and that was awesome - No stress! they provided pizza and pop and of course, bowling. It was awesome! So I would like to find something else for my older sons b-day.
I don't want to spend a ton of money, nor do I want to make parents drive very far.
So I would need something in the Anoka, Andover, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Blaine area.

What can I do next?

Hi G.,

We recently took our 1 yr old twins to the Adventure Park in Ham Lake. It was a little too young for our kids, but I think a group of 8 year olds would LOVE it! I know when you hear "Ham Lake" you freak out and think "far away" but it was actually really close! I live in Coon Rapids by Northtown.

Here is the website: http://www.adventureparkinc.com/index.cfm.
Please check out the website and mapquest from your house before you knock it. I can't wait to do birthday parties there!

Hey there..
Don't know if this sounds interesting to you or not but I have nieces and nephews around your son's age and they LOVE Space Aliens in Blaine. They have great food, and an arcade. Just the decor there is really cool! There is bday party pricing for kids that includes food, and it wasn't too bad. Check it out, and I wish you the best of luck.

When I was aroudn that age, my parents had a sleep-over for me at a hotel. We had joining rooms, and us kids were allowed to stay up as late as we wanted. My parent's ended up entertaining too in the room next to us by having a few friends over while they watched us go crazy next door. Plus, we got to walk around the hotel a littlebit (I remember alot), and it was a fairly safe enviroment. We played in the pool most of the time. We had a cake, presents, etc...but the best part was knowing we had an entire hotel room for ourselves. It was like being queen of the castle. :) (I also remember the room being a poolside room, and with a little kitchen like fridge, and a living room, etc. It wasn't just the basic room, it was more like a suite.

You could also try Pump-it-up. It's a place in Ham lake that is all those moonwalks, and they are super fun. Don't konw if 8 yr olds would still like that sort of thing,..but even parents have fun there. They do Pizza and all the party supplies too and you get the whole place to yourself. Good luck.
