Happy happy Friday :) Love this coming 3 day weekend ! I need some ideas again moms. My oldest son turns 13 next Friday. We have told him he could invite 3 friends and we would do a small party for him. Go somewhere fun is what we are looking at. But we don't have any ideas. He loves baseball. We talked about a game but the tickets are too much for the group. Just can't afford that. Does anyone have any other ideas ? Thanks for any help !

Really? Cheap seats here in Houston are $5-7. And you might even send in his name and they canput it up on the board when they do birthday greetings between innings.
Go to the motor speedway over there...you get a tour of the grounds AND they'll put you in a van and drive 120+mph on the track. The kids will love it and tickets are cheap.
I know this is football and not baseball but....if you do the self tours at Dallas Stadium, you can play right on the field (as long as the next day isn't a home game) for as long as you want, you just have to bring your own ball.
*What????? Did you just score some freebies???? lol have fun!
What about a your local team instead of the major league team? Those tickets are usually pretty cheap.
What about a movie night? 13 years old - PG-13 ?
Do you have a rock climbing facility?
Bowling?
Rough Riders in Frisco.............
Frisco Roughriders or Mansfield Air Hogs.
I was going to say Frisco Roughriders too or the airhogs. We take our family of four to the Roughriders for $72 and that includes food and drinks :)
Have you asked him for idea? My kids planned their 13th birthday parties. I gave them a budget, and a venue (my backyard) and they went to town.
I'd rather go to a frisco Roughriders baseball game than the Texas Rangers. They are a lot of fun, tickets are not too pricey, I think you can pay about $5 each and sit in the grass.
What does he want to do?
Minor league baseball tickets are much more family friendly than major league tickets. Perhaps taking him and his friends to the batting cages along with arcade games or paint ball would be fun. My boys love things like that.
Thinking outside the box is great for coming up with ideas that everyone involved in can have fun at. Perhaps there is something special at a local museum. I know the planetarium has special things going on for birthday kids. You have to make arrangements in advance to get the private tour of the behind the scenes. That may be fun but it depends on the kids and just how active they want to be.
A pool party is always fun. We have plenty of YMCA's or YWCA's here that will allow you to have a party on their premisis for a few hours but may not be cost effective. Playing pool is also fun and active too.
A mall scavenger hunt is always fun....may be even more fun with more kids. Free clues can be found on the internet.
Laser Tag
Bowling
Arcade
Movies
Do you have any batting cages nearby? That would be fun!
Laser Tag, Go Karts, Bowling.
You could go to a really fun restaurant for dinner (like Benihana or Rain Forset Cafe) followed by a sleepover at your house :)
How about this idea: Mamapedia/Mamasource would like to treat your son, his three friends and two adults to a movie at AMC, and lunch at Applebees.
Please send me your address in a personal email, and I will express the gift cards to you on Tuesday.
Happy Friday, everyone!
Hey! Freebies! Yay!!
Well I think putt-putt has batting cages doesn't it?
