One of my best friends lives in Swansea and had her daughter's 4th birthday party yesterday at Alicia's Dance Studio in Rehobeth. (224 Winthrop Ave I think, it was 44 almost the whole way from RI so easy to get to). Anyway, I know she struggled finding a place besides that big one in Seekonk (Fantasyland, which kids love but she's done twice now) and Chuck E Cheese (too crowded she said). The party was great, nothing fancy - there were lots of little ones there (boys and girls) who had a really great time doing easy dances and just playing. Duck duck dance was particularly cute.

There is also a pottery place in Barrington that is paint your own pottery. I can't remember the name but they are in the phone book. Depending on age - you could always take a few kids to the movies. Imagine in Warren had a cool ice cream shop - not sure if they do parties though. Also, Dave and Busters are doing kids birthday parties now. The Imax. Build a Bear in Emerald Square. Also, Skate USA in East Prov. Those are the few I came up with quickly.

Hi D.,

Not sure the age range or how far you want to go but in Bristol the Audubon (sp?) Society does birthday parties -- they have a guided tour and when the weather is nice the kids can go for a walk towards the water. My friend had her son's 4th birthday party there - it was a big hit.

Hi D.,
There's that Ultimate Party and Play place in Norton, just over the Attleboro line. And Kids Adventure Cuts has a party room on Route 1 in South Attleboro.
Also, my kids went to one in Seekonk, a gymnastics place, I believe on the EP/Seekonk line off Route 6.
