If it's a child's birthday, then paper invitations will bring a bigger crowd. It's it's close adult friends, evite works but you'll need to mention it to them all and tell them the invite is by email.

Evite!!!! I just did one for the first time for my son and it was amazing! People are much more likely to RSVP for an Evite than to a paper invitation I think. It was the first time that I had 100% rsvp. I used to think the paper was nicer because the kids like to get it. But the ease and accuracy of the evite more than makes up for it.

I tend to hand deliver invitations so people have something to put on the fridge as a reminder while not having the expense of postage. For those that I don't see, I email the same invitation. I end up only having to mail a handful.

I find most people are likely to RSVP if you do evites/Facebook. When we give out or mail invitations we only hear from a small handful of people

I do special events for a living and we are finding evites get the best responses.

I love paper invitations and children are so excited when they receive mail.. So I suggest to clients they do both, but if you pick only one, evite is the way to go.. it is easier to send out a reminder when people are not responding instead of having to call and track everyone down..

Once you have all of those contacts on there, it is so easy to continue using it in the future too..

Well I prefer evite invitations and rarely use regular invitations any longer. However we will send regular thank you cards in the mail.

I rather the invitations on the mail, just because I have bad memory and I need to literally put the invitation on the refrigerator so I don't forget to call back, buy a present and go on time...and the right day.
It also reminds my daughter that she has to keep her room clean every time she gets something from the refrigerator, lol.

Evite rocks if most everyone you know has an email/facebook. I send out invites this way too. If there are a few people who are not connected to the internet, I print out the evite and send that to them or you can send them their own special invite.
