Birthday Girl Dress up Party

Hello mamas. Yes it's me asking yet ANOTHER question...

My daughter will be turning 7 soon, and I wanted to take her and some of her friends to one of those dress up places where little girls dress up and get their hair and (little girl) make-up done. That sort of thing. Anybody know a place like that around the Renton or Bellevue area? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Sorry to say, but the one place that I was aware of and used for my niece and my friend's daughter, Libby Lu at Bellevue Square has gone out of business. They are a division of Saks 5th Avenue, and business isn't good for Saks, it was great for Libby Lu, but not Saks. You could gather hats, old costume jewelry, kid safe make-up, feather boas and let the girls have a dress up tea party. For my daughter's birthday when she was either 7 or 8 I got straw hats, the wide brimmed ones from a craft store, lots of silk flowers and ribbons and the girls all made their own garden hats to wear and then to hang on their walls. (I hot glued the flowers and ribbons on for them.) We had a flower covered birthday cake and punch. There were flowers for each of them to take home afterwards. I took pictures and they made picture frames to put them in. It was loads of fun. My daughter who is now 22 almost 23 still has that hat on her bedroom wall. All the girls looked so cute. That kind of hat party will be considerably cheaper than a trip to a Libby Lu type store. Libby Lu's cheapest make-over started at $25 per child. And then you still have to go somewhere for lunch or dessert. Have a happy birthday!!!

You can try Justice for Girls which is in Issaquah. It is a clothing and accessory store just for young girls, and they have birthday parties where they do hair and I believe makeup. It is not far from the north end of Renton - just straight down 900 (you can take Exit 5 off of 405).

I was going to say Libby Lou in Bell Square, but the last post mentioned it closed. Not suprising, it was pretty expensive. There is a place in Puyallup that has princess parties, it is called a simple wish ###-###-####.

I have a business that the girls put on their own product which they get to take home and we dicuss life lessons, like truth, honesty, friendship, and kindness. then we have a little fashion show all in your home. FunPartyForKids.com if you are interested.

www.seattlekidsdirectory.com has other party businesses advertised there that might have some ideas for you just click the link at the top for advertisers or I think parent map may have some party businesses advertised too. Not sure if they have a web address with that on there. Some businesses advertise in both or in just one or the other. Also, some have advertised on here too.

good luck
