Dear S. D:
Not having a period sound wonderful and by experience I can tell you that is a relief. I can also tell you that anything the body is designed to do naturally is required for optimum health. Every month the body goes through this amazing cleanse called a cycle that consists of over 61 known chemical processes. Most important one of all is the conjugating of estrogen's from carcinogenic to non carcinogenic. The second most important thing is the release of excessive estrogens so they don't wind up storing in your fat cells. If you are thin or underweight the concerns of storing estrogens drops dramatically being you don’t have the extra fat cells to deal with.
Without going into chemistry 101 and boring you on how the entire life cycle of the female body works, it is imperative that you have a monthly cycle. Many doctors will tell you it’s no big deal. This is what they are instructed to do by the manufactures of birth control pills. It helps to reduce the amount of lawsuits that they are already dealing with in reference to the birth control cancer connections.
You’re liver in the organ that starts and stops your cycle. In other terms it is the biological clock to every function that has a specific time to start and stop. The second function of the liver is the conjugating effects it has on the hormones. Without the liver doing its job, most of the estrogens in the body are useless and carcinogenic. The liver is responsible for getting your period back on track. If you were near the age of 50 I would not be concern with starting your cycle.
You will find many people in full agreement with the information above and other who don’t really know having their opinion. Just remember you don’t need to be a doctor, chemist or have knowledge of the anatomy to agree. You just need a little common sense, maybe a little due diligence research to realize that your menstrual cycle is precious and history has shown that women without their cycle during the first half of their life lived with multiple hormonal and non hormonal health complaints during the second half of their life.
Think about it:
