I have a 11 year old daughter. What bikebsize do you think I should get her. I have taken her to many bike stores but she can't decide what size suits her best.

What can I do next?

I wouldn't know without knowing her height.

Go to a good bike store, not Target or Wal Mart, they will size her to the right bike. They don't even get their feelings hurt when you take that information to a cheaper store. They know they will get her back as an adult. :)

Take her to a real bike store (not Walmart or Sports Authority) and have her properly measured. They'll tell you which size is best for her. It's not just the height that' important, but also the frame length.

However, if you're needing an answer ASAP, here is a chart from www.performancebike.com: http://www.performancebike.com/images/performance/web/PDF...

My (rather small for his age) 10 year old has a 24" bike. He does just fine with it.

It really depends on how tall she is. I would say no smaller than an 18 but you could go higher depending on hight. I think my oldest bought an 18 but could have used bigger but it was the type of bike he wanted. You might want to look at something that she can use for a while.

Good luck and God Bless!

Bikes do not go by age. They go by hieght. You need to take your daughter with and let her sit on the bike. Have her stand up with it stratled between her legs. Her feet should be flat on the ground when she stands up, that way she can catch herself better if the bike tips and she falls. Most people ride bikes that are way to high for them. Also look up bicycle laws. The federal government and maybe even your state has free booklets on teaching children how to ride bikes. This is very important, because there are hand signals and etiquette they need to learn if they will be riding on the street.

Ask the owner of the store. They would know best. Depends on her size .
Something too small she may outgrow quickly.

It isn't what suits her, it's how tall she is. When you are sitting on your seat, you ought to be able to touch the ground on both sides of your bike, but your knees shouldn't be bent.

I would say take her to a store and have her try some. If she can sit on the seat (seat in lowest position) with her feet flat on the floor then that is a good size.
