I think the Fusion ones come apart? I don't know, but when my 9yr old son gets home from school I'll ask him.
What is the difference between Beyblade Metal Masters and Beyblade Metal Fusion? Walmart only sells Metal Masters and Toys R Us only sells Metal Fusion? Is one a name brand? Is one better than the other? I want to get some for my 7 year old son and want to get the better quality. Thanks!
thank you ladies! I purchased the Metal Masters but only because that's what they had at the store. He has not watched the show nor has he ever played with them. I had just heard how popular they are with the kids so figured I would try them out (anything to get him off the computer and Wii for a while, ya know??) If he ends up liking them, he will figure out which ones he likes all on his own. Thanks for the info!!

I believe that the difference is based off of the tv show (my son is really into beyblades but doesnt watch the show too much, but I googled) and I think beyblade metal fusion is season 1 of the show and the metal masters is from season two (from my research) so the names of the beys are different than those of season one. I believe the quality is the same.
I have also seen both at walmart one is in white packaging the newer models and the black packaging is the metal fusion. (now I feel like I know way too much on this subject. Anyone have any pokemon questions to add?)
Here are my sons favorite top 10 beys: Earth Eagle, Galaxy Pegasus, flame libra, burn fireblaze, poison serpant, storm pegasus, dark libra, rock leone okay i have 8 listed but he has a total of 23 so im missing a ton
According to my son -
Metal Masters is the world championship title for Beyblade
and Metal Fusion is stopping one of the characters from using his bey for evil.
This is based on the TV show plotlines. The toys are the same, but the producers make different stories and sell toys that go with each story.
So, one is not name brand - they are both name brand.
It just depends on which story line your son prefers - especially if he watches the show on which ones to get him.
We hope this helps.
I don't know the difference either but both my 8 yo son and 11 yo daughter LOVE them and we have several of them. Their bdays are coming soon and I know more are on their wish list. Good luck!
My grandson collects Beyblades. They are two different forms of the same thing. Like a different model. They are the same in quality. I think that they do the same thing in different ways. Perhaps one is older than the other. I've found with these sorts of toys that they have a series one year and then they add another series the next. I suggest this is what is happening with the Beyblades.
My grandson prefers to choose his own. Your 7yo may know the differences, already.
Here is a web site about the masters line. http://beyblade.wikia.com/wiki/Beyblade:_Metal_Masters
My grandson, who is now 9, doesn't play the games that go along with the pieces.
