I wasn't aware that there was a good time. Count me in with the mamas that avoided it and places like it every chance we could.
What is the least busy day and time to go to Chuck E Cheese's?

10am most days.
If you go 10:45am and play then eat at 11:15, that would be a good way to still have lunch at a normal time and beat the crowd.
my completely unhelpful answer is 'thank ALL the gods that i never, never have to set foot in that awful place again!'

Never??
I think it's always pretty busy. Unless you go as soon as they open.
The best time to go to Chuck E Cheese's is never, in my opinion. The last time we went (when DD#1 was 4, for a class party), she came down with Scarlet Fever the next morning. Ended up in the ER. The doctor ended up having to make a report to the health department about it, and they shut the restaurant down until the place was disinfected. Evidently, they never (ever) clean the insides of those hamster tunnels. Eeeeew. Just a word to the wise...
Never! Not a fan of that place. Once was enough. Will never ever return! Sorry. Just being honest.
You may want to call your local CEC and ask.
Around here, I would say holidays, later in the evening during the younger crowd's bedtime, during inclement weather, and during major sporting events such as the Super Bowl or Steeler games...
sorry...hate the place...best time to go..NEVER...or with GRANDMA! :0)
My grandson loves it there. It is in the next town, so it is a special outing. I get the coupon for 100 tokens for $20 & we spend a couple of hours. We plan on being there when they open. No one is there. They are checking the games & there are tickets sticking out of the machines. Free for the taking!! He plays his favorite games & when other kids show up, he makes friends &has even more fun. We have only gone on weekdays, so I can't comment on weekends.
Monday-Thursday. Forget the weekend - way too crowded!
We have one right near my house. I go on a school day with my almost 3 year old sometimes after he gets out of preschool, for an hour from 12 - 1. Or we have gone for school fundraisers with all 3 of my kids, on a Thursday afternoon from 5 - 7. It's not usually crowded.
We scheduled a birthday party there at 10 am on a Sat and we were the only ones there for at least an hour. It started to get busy closer to noon.
Ours opens at 9. On the rare occasion we DID go, we would meet friends at 9 a.m. Have an early lunch around 11 and head out right after lunch. We did this on a weekday during the school year. I can't remember it ever being especially crowded, in fact most of the time we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Just check the school calendar, I am sure all bets are off when the kids are out of school.
We use to be there when they opened and then left a few hours later once it got crowded.
ours opens at 10.. my daughter had pm kindergarten.. we would get to chuck e cheese at 10 on the dot.. play games eat pizza.. and take her to kinder at 1215.. it was great we usually had the place to ourself..
so on a weekday get there as soon as it opens and it will be almost empty..
Early in the week, early in the day. If you're wanting to have a birthday party there, then early in the week, early in the evening, around 5 or so.
When your local school is getting out all the parents are at the schools waiting on their kids. So if you go early afternoon, after lunch, and stay until maybe 3pm you should have a lot less people there.
Probably a mon, tue, or wed right when it opens at 11 am. That's the only time I'll ever go. Unless forced for someone's party.
I find it is fairly clean and quiet when it first opens. But it has that weird, gross smell- disinfectant mixed with cheap pizza dough and kid sweat. It's truly the smell of the place that gets me more than anything.

Middle of the day, mid-week. Then it's only preschoolers and very few of them.
We've gone on a Wed evening from 6 - 9 for school fundraisers and it hasn't been busy.
