Hi,
My preemie is finally home from the hospital after four weeks in special care nursery. I would like some advice on the best baby wearing gear you have used for such little folks.
He is 36 wks. adjusted age. I think I would like a sling.(?). Also, I am petite, 5'2".

What can I do next?

Have you heard of the Moby Wrap? It is similar in style to slings sort of. I have one that I am not using if you are interested. Congrats on the new baby!

Our son was a 6 week early preemie and spent almost a month in the hospital "feeding and growing." I bought a KangarooKorner.com Adjustable Fleece Sling and it was perfect. It kept him warm and was super comfortable to wear. The only downside is if your baby is super small, its a lot of fabric around them, but he loved it and i wore him in it everywhere!!!

i absolutely love my moby. you can be naked on top and have your baby just in a diaper - this skin to skin feels great and is supposed to be helpful for all babies, but especially premmies.

I think the best sling is one that is supportive and you find comfortable.

The Boston Babywearers group is meeting tomorrow in Arlington. I've pasted the info below about both the meeting and the raffle they are doing to raise money for the group. You can try out different slings there and see what you're most comfortable with. You can also try out slings at Isis. A lot of women like Moby wraps when babies are little.

Want to soothe your crying baby?
Want to cuddle your child but still have your hands free to take care
of dishes and laundry?
Want to run after your toddler without worrying about your newborn?
Want to hop on the T without lugging your stroller up and down the
stairs?
WANT TO WIN SOME GREAT BABYWEARING PRIZES?

If any of these describe you, please join the Boston Babywearers
group at our third-anniversary meeting! We'll have our regular
introduction to babywearing and one-on-one help, but we'll also be
raffling off some terrific prizes.

Tickets are available at http://hyenacart.com/bostonbabywearers/: $3
