I need new sheets for my bed. I will splurge and get nice soft sheets. You spend at least 8hrs a day in them, so why not make them comfy 8 hrs. What are the best sheets you've ever owned?

I have the high thread Egyptian cotton too, and they are nice and will last for years. The older they get the better they get. they are actually pretty heavy sheets, but 5 years from now they will be those sheets that you are craving right now.

I love the highest thread count that you can buy from Kohl's...I am sure they were called egyptian cotton, they have held up well and feel silky smooth.

Bamboo

Okay since everyone is going high count cotton, here is the deal with bamboo. Even the low count is just as soft as the best cotton for about half the price. The other strange thing is how it reacts to temperature. In the summer it is cooler and the winter it is warmer. I have no idea why but damn it is comfortable.

I also agree with the T-shirt/Jersey sheets. They stay cool and allow air to circulate. I love them!

I bought some expensive 500 thread count sheets and hated them. Im not fond of the knit ones, and Husband hates flannel. One day I found some 250 count sheets at Sears for $19. The king size came with 4 pillow cases. They have a stripe, look, same color. We love them! They are smooth and soft, but hefty enough to feel crisp and new. Love them so much I bought another set, and some as gifts for my sister.I saw them advertised for sale at the "As Seen On TV" store.

I look for Parcle sheets. They don't get the balls on them like some of the low count cotton does. They also don't need ironing like the expensive egyption cotton does... or at least mine look like it does. I don't spend the time to iron them though..lol
