I saw ads for both MOSI and the Aquarium that you can watch fireworks from their rooftops. The Aquarium is $10 admission after 3 p.m. That would be the better place because it's closer to downtown where the fireworks are.
We were thinking about going to Busch Gardens for the 4th of July fireworks. We've watched them over the beach a few times. Where do you like to go to watch them? Is there someplace that you can bring a blanket and watch??
Thanks!!

Plant City has nice fireworks at the stadium. I would suggest getting there early. We just stay home and watch them. A lot of our neighbors put up a lot of really nice ones.
Hi A. - I am also looking for a place to watch fireworks. We just moved here from Boston last June so I don't know anywhere to go. My 2 nieces and newphew are coming down from Boston on Monday so I would like to take them somewhere good. We live in Trinity. Thanks!!!
My church is holding it's second fireworks bonaza on Friday, the fourth. Idlewild Baptist Church on Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz. It's a free event - all outside at the baseball field side of the church - and all you have to do is spread your blanket, look up and enjoy!
There were things for the kids to do last year like bounce houses and face painting and this year they have added a classic car show and this all begins at 5. But come dark and it's time for the fireworks display to take off! They will have snacks available for sale too, like last year. We ate cracker jacks and watched the fireworks. My kids loved it!
The display (with synchronized music) was spectacular last year. You can bring a picnic dinner and coolers and sprawl out!
Here's the website for the church: www.idlewild.org
Whatever you do - be safe! :)
Not sure where you live, but Idlewild Babtist church is suppose to be having a big celebration. They are in Lutz off of DaleMabry - just north of Van Dyke. I am not a member, but I live in the area and they sent fliers around to the local people inviting them. They are suppose to have moonwalks and activities for the kids, an old car show, BBQ, and all sorts of stuff. I think you can find the info on their website (www.idlewild.org)
