I 100% recommend the Diaper Genie II diaper pail. It's easy to use and doesn't waste bag (unlike the original diaper genie). It holds odors in well (keep in mind that with ANY diaper pail, you're going to get SOME release of odor when putting in a new diaper...however, I've noticed the Diaper Champ is worse than most about lingering odor...just based on going to friends' houses who have one). It does require its own special liner but, as I mentioned, it doesn't require any twisting so no liner is wasted, so you don't go through them that quickly. I have 2 of them (one upstairs, one downstairs), and only change the liner once every couple of months. In the past I've bought Diaper Decor, which was awesome for all of 6 months before it broke and wouldn't hold odors in anymore (plus, that one was TOO easy to use...too easy for curious little hands to get to the cutter too...). I've also used the Safety 1st Neat diaper pail, and that one is just huge and clunky and also breaks. I've been incredibly happy with the Diaper Genie II and would recommend it to ANYONE.
