Hi everyone, I have yet to find the perfect mascara that will transform my puny lashes, Has anybody found the perfect mascara or eyelash curler for those who are not blessed with long and thick lashes?

i like L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara best.
I am a cosmetologist and did makeup in the salon. I use Maybelline Great lash from almost any store and the Shu Umera eye lash curler from Sephora stores.
The Falsies is the way to go. I think Maybelline makes it.
First of all, I will NEVER use a curler... those can damage your lashes.
I am lucky to have good lashes but of course I always want better. My 16 yr old has amazing lashes and is so beautiful when she does her mascara.
SO. after reading about using a lash primer before mascara I used the Clinique primer and it did make a difference. BUT, a couple week ago, in Sephora, I told the girl I needed more Clinique primer. She said... "It is great stuff but I know something better". I bought Christian Dior Maximizer (I think that is the name, white tube $28). She said use it along with my favorite mascara... Clinique High Impact and check out the difference.
I kid you not... I have had 3 ladies ask me if I have lash extensions and tell me how beautiful my lashes are. I swear by the Dior and will use it until someone shows me something better.
No curlers, just use this conditioner/primer 1 eye at a time, apply mascara and Bam... beautiful lashes.. LOVE IT.
I'm old school- I use Cover Girl Professional (blue tube). Been using it since school days and it works the best (for me) without irritating my eyes and without an eyelash curler (get the curved brush pkg). It lasts all day. As always, YMMV.
I was definitely not blessed with thick OR long eyelashes. I feel your pain ;). I always used Revlon eyelash curlers and was ok with their results. That is, until Cover Girl started making their own line of beauty tools. At first I was a little shocked at how much this culer curled my lashes, I mean, woah. But, given that in 10 minutes the other curler's bend would have unbent alarmingly, this is perfect. It's about the same price as the other one too. So, my Cover Girl eyelash curler is the best one I've ever used, get one! =) Then, I've used all kinds of mascaras from super cheap to expensive and my favorite (I keep going back to it!) is Cover Girl Lash Blast Length. I know, weird, I always wanted volume but the volumizing ones were clumping or flaking. I had the mascara for everyday stuff and bought a new one as a refill. I applied it and was shocked. My lashes looked different than when I used it the day before, what did I do? Well, I accidentally bought the waterproof formula and it not only lengthened my lashes, but volumized them as well. There's something about the consistency of the waterproof formula that just makes it perfect. Now, it's not really waterproof (which I guess is bad if you wanted it to be) so it washes off as easily as any other mascara. I don't look like a raccoon and I don't even look for other mascaras anymore. So, amazingly, Cover Girl has it all the way. Good luck.
Buxom mascara by Bare Essentials or Revlon custom eyes. The Shu Umera curler is great and Revlon has one that's really good too that's cheaper-it's the black one not silver one.
Hands down Mary Kay ultimate mascara
I'm with CN on this - every makeup artist I've ever seen uses Maybelline Great Lash and the Shu Uemura eyelash curler. And for good reason - they work fantastically well!
I curl first and then use mascara. I have been using Loreal Voluminous for 15 yrs+. It's by far my favorite! I start on one eye and really work through the lashes (w/o going overboard) and focus on the outer lashes so that they look defined and stick out to the sides well. Then I do the other eye and then go over them both one more time (lightly this time) before the first coat has dried. It is definitely what works for me. Sometimes the Voluminous can spread a little but it's not too bad; manageable.
I have tried various mascaras in my life. They all promise great things, but most really don't deliver. Have you tried an eyelash curler along with the mascara? That will help quite a bit. I believe curling first and then applying mascara. There are drugs on market you can apply to make them grow too. If all that doesn't work, you can use fake eyelashes. Good luck! J.
Ok, L'oreal has a mascara, Double Extend Lashes I think is the name ... it creates "tubes" around your lashes to thicken and lenthen your lashes ... you first put on the "white mascara" then on top of that you put on the black ... it's my fav to use when I do not want to use false lashes but want a simmilar effect.
Maybelline is magic! My favs are falsies or volume express. Decent priced and works wonders!
