I would certainly NOT trust a Pest Control Company to do ANYTHING to my bed!!! Or my daughter! Besides, it is fairly easy, although a pain to fix it yourself.
She needs to go to a Dr. and get an Rx, and probably a shampoo, and use as directed. After they are gone, I have found the Melaleuca Natural Shampoo prevents reinfection with lice, (they don't like the smell). It might have the same effect on bedbugs. I don't like the smell, either, but I keep it on hand, and use it whenever I get a notice that there is an outbreak at the kids school, etc. For the bed, there is an over the counter spray, called Nix that you can spray on the mattress, after it has been stripped down of all bedding. It comes in a kit with the spray and a lotion or shampoo. I believe bedbugs are a form of scabies, if that helps in your search for products. When I could not afford the RX & Dr. visit, I have used the shampoo as a lotion on my skin (check with pediatrician if your daughter is not an adult) Then, you have to wash all your bedding is scalding hot water and detergent and bleach if they are white. If not, in the stronges stuff you have for them. You have to wash ALL the bedding, at the same time, IE. you can not do some this weekend and some next weekend. Don't let dirty bedding touch any other bedding, and keep on washing and disinfecting, until every sheet and pillow case and towel you own is done. Blankets too, or send to Dry cleaner. Reapply the lotion or shampoo as directed on the bottle or by the Dr. and you should be good. If you have little throw rugs in bedrooms and bathrooms I would do those too. Anything a pest company would bring would not be good to sleep on. After the mattress spray is used, you have to air the bed out a good while, I would even drag it outside in the sun if you can, and leave it outside until it doesn't smell like bug spray.
If you have an Alpine Air Cleaner you can accelerate the process, you can leave the mattress inside and make a tent with a clean sheet, so that there is a space about 12" high above the surface of the mattress. Crank up the air cleaner and put it under the tent, and leave it going until the smell is gone, probably at least a half a day.
